Right, i purchased a First Edition version of GTA: San Andreas... It installed perfectly, however, when i try to load it, i see the EAX logo, then the Nvidia LOGO, then just a black screen... I hear a spray can (Spraying the Rockstar logos, as i have it on PS2), and then some music starts to play (Presumed to be the loading music =/)... Though after the music had finished, my monitor remained black, and i had to forcefully restart my pc....

The problem is, my pc should run GTA: SA with ease... My specs.

Processor: Intel Celeron, 2.20GHz RAM: 1024 Megabytes HDD: 440 Gig. (60 Internal, 380 External) Video Card: Nvidia GeForce 6200A VRAM: 256 Megabytes. Soundcard: AC'97. Direct X: 9.0c August 2007.

=/ And another issue is the fact that i cannot patch the game.... It tells me the contents of the gta_sa.exe file is not matched as the original... And i AM using the correct patcher for my cd.

first thing, it may just be a bad install. uninstall the game. then install it again. if that doesn't work, i think it may be your graphics card, its been several years since i last looked it up but gta sa doesn't seem to work with some graphics cards.

Reinstalling failed, i forgot to put it in my first post. And also, my graphics card should support it, as the Nvidia GeForce 6 series is compatible =/

sounds strange. with the music should come the cinematic sequence for the intro to GTASA.

i dunno, maybe its a faulty copy. but ive got a feeling its your graphics card~ cant say why though..

I had a faulty copy before-hand. So i got a replacement, because the first one wouldn't install at all. Though, it doesn't explain my other issue where i cannot patch the game =/

In addition, it just can't be my graphics card. Mainly because the GeForce6 Series is Supported. =s
