Hi. Im playing the PC version of San Andreas. The User tracks I put in my 'user trakcs' folder wont play. All I hear is the adverts, one after another. F5 does nothing. Ive put mp3s in there and wavs but neither work. I have an up-to-date version of quicktime and Wi Med Player 9. Ive also tried putting the files in another folder on the same drive and putting a shortcut to that folder in my 'user trakcs' folder, and doing the same with another drive. Ive also tried creating shortcuts to all the individual tracks and putting those in the 'user trakcs' folder. Nothing works. Any advice would be welcome, as Im British and frankly theres too much hip-hop in the defautl Sand Andreas soundtrack. I dont know if this helps, but the User Gallerys empty too - Ive taken a few photos with the camera in-game and have the 'save photos' option enabled in the options menu but theres nothing there. The GTS SA User Files folder in My Documents only has 2 folders, galletry and User tracks in itr. Nothing else at all.

And Ive got the game installed on my E drive and My Documents re in my C drive. Does this affect anything?

Are you using the 1.0 or 1.1? there are issues with user name formatting without the 1.1 patch.

Also, did you "Scan for user tracks" in the options?

Thanks for responding. Im using it post-patch. And I have scanned for user tracks. It now reports at the bottom of the screen that its scanned successfully.

Really? Well that would be quite good frankly, becasue Im going mental here! What do you suggest? Obviously, Id rather move my Documents than uninstall and re-install it (not to mention having to make space on my already rather crowded C Drive). Edit - Although if this is the reason its a bit silly of Rockstar - after all, it was GTA SA that put the User Tracks on my C Drive in the first place.

Well I would advise just re-installing it because of the way GTA does its saves, just as long as you know where your save is, you are fine, So, I would advise installing it on your C drive, and then getting the patch...

Well, I wouldn't call myself the expert, as I've never had this issue before, I could be wrong... :p
