Hi, I have a Dell laptop running 1.7GHz processor, 1GB ram, and a Quadro FX GO 700 graphics card. I've updated all of my drivers and Vice City. Some how, when I get to certain parts in the city, everything becomes jagged and the streets are filled with strange textures and jagged objects, so it becomes completely unplayable. Usually when I hit ESC and then resume, its back to normal. How can I fix this? My OS is Windows XP. Thanks.
a similar thing happened to me....my video card was getting to hot...but if urs goes back to normal after hitting esc that prob isnt the problem...did you reinstall the game??
I just barely installed the game on to my new laptop, so it shouldn't be that. I've haven't really been able to play it because of the graphics problems. Also, its only in certain parts of the city, like the construction site or the dock by Cortez, so its definately software.
You can get a graphics patch for vice city. Search on google. My graphics go when i get to the airport and all the scenery goes then the road goes all blury including the houses. Havent downloaded the patch because i downloaded vice city free and have no cd's and are running off a nocd patch.
