Why doesn't anyone start a modproject which tries to remake and add to both AvP games on the Q4 engine? I've always wanted to play these games and I love the movies (exept Alien Ressurection) but they feature horrible graphics, I'm sure that the Q4 engine would be perfect for this type of mod ;)

I would totally agree with you on that matter, but i've seen previous AvP projects on other games and they have always failed to complete their mod. Not enough interest in it I guess.

It's hard to say what game is the best in the world, but when the game AvP II came out, it made me feel good like no other game has ever before. Not even games like Doom 3. AvP II is probably my favorite game of all time and it's the only game I have completed 4 times.

Ahhh, AVP... brings back a lot of memories. Memories of a firewall preventing me from playing it... memories of pain...

Anyway, I think AVP 2 was too, well... it had too much story in it. AVP was much more frightening and scary than AVP 2 was. And what sucks most is - The source code was never released, so there would never be any "source port" like Jdoom(The old doom with new graphics and 3d models). I feel like they kind of let the fans down with many parts of AVP 1. Don't get me wrong, I LOVED singleplayer, and when I finally was able to play AVP in multiplayer, I loved it. But I couldn't play on the internet, and modders weren't able to make any significant modifications to the game.

But I'd love to try that game again on a new engine.
