I bought Q4 about a month ago. Using the game browser, I USED to be able to play online. Suddenly, last week the browser stopped loading any servers. I turn it on and no servers show up. If I try to manually input a server or use SkQ4 I get the following message when the game loads up and tries to connect: client unknown to auth. My firewall is off. I use a wireless connection to link to the internet. I have tried a number of different wireless connections and the result is always the same. I have allowed various servers to download maps and other files from time to time. Could that be the problem? do I need to re-install?? Hope not. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!

Enter this in your autoexec.cfg: seta net_master0 "192.246.40.28:27650"

Used to happen a lot during the Q3 days. Good luck

you have to make it.. open notepad. add the line. saveas autoexec.cfg. to make it work. open notepad again. type : Quake4.exe +exec autoexec.cfg then saveas q4run.bat in your main q4 folder. and use it to run the game
