I want to have SABOT on Weapons of Destruction
how can I do it?
Sometimes it's as easy as dropping PK4 files from both mods into one mod folder and running it. Most of the time, though, you'll need to extract everything and figure out what will overwrite something else and if it has a feature you want, and what should overwrite what. There's no common solution to cover everything so you'll just need to experiment. It takes a bit of modding experience yourself to know what type of files are likely to achieve what type of features. As for SAbot, I seriously doubt you'll have bots taking advantage of any mod features since it was only programmed for vanilla Quake 4. I would imagine the meat of the mod takes place in the gamex86.dll (the compiled SDK in the root of the mod folder) so you definitely want the one from SAbot to overwrite the one from WOD. Where as weapon modding might mostly take place in DEF files, so you want to overwrite weapon DEF files from WOD over the SAbot ones.

What he means is extract the contents of each mod and combine them into a single package. Use WinRAR to do this.

I think what the previous posts were trying to say is that if you combine 2 different mods and they both( For example) use a " Player Def File" one may over right the other,making one of the mods not work, or completely fubar your attempt to combine them, unless you manually change it so that it is compatible with both mods ( if that is even possible. ) What are you trying to combine?? I may be able to help.?
i'm tryin to combine SABOT a10 for Quake v 1.3 and Weapons of Destruction for v 1.3

NEW modifyed Shaders for D3, Q4 and Prey soon !
This shaders i am modifiyng are based of three versions, that i have updated and bettered, this are Parallax v1.0, v1.1 and v2.0, and also the normal Prey shader, and the Brilliant Highlights shader, i have made all of this for Doom 3 first and now i will do this for Quake IV and then for Prey !
Then when i have done this i will try to mix things from all this shaders into one glprogs/interaction.vfp shader that if i can do this, will be the best shader for D3 engine games !
Also, when ET Quake Wars will be available i will buy that and read and learn about the new shaders ET QW have and try to implement something for the other D3 engine games, (D3, Q4, Prey).
I don't want any credit for this, i like any D3 engine games, i like to be inmerssed in the environment ! :cool:
