Hi all, I have a really cool idea for a player model but I can't figure out how to do something..
You all know that when you shoot someone with the lightning gun or gib a robot theres a little particle generator spawned on the player mesh for fire and spark effects.. Well i'm wondering if its possible to parent a particle generator onto a player mesh that will generate a particle effect ALL THE TIME. That way I could have a custom particle system attached to my player model that spews out cool stuff no matter what it's doing.
Anyway i dont need to know how to make a particle system, i can find that out elsewhere (i hope), just if there's a way to attach one to a player model.
I have seen something like it. There is a mod out there that turns your character on fire if you are the high scorer or are top fragger or whatever. you run around trailing flames. possibly could put these effects permanent on your player model. i dont see why not, they are permenanet in game.
That mutator hes talknig about is called Vasonfire and they got it right here at ut2oo3files

anyway if you look at the code to that mutator , and maybe ask the author of it a question or two , I'm sure you'll get your answer.
