Ok, I'm trying to play SFC3 again, and my jewel case apparently got busted. I could SWEAR that the case front I've found is the proper one with the CD-key...

it says "Keep this number for online multiplayer" on a sticker, with a 16 character long key without spaces. I could swear this is the key for SFC3 but it will not install the game, it says it is invalid. Could someone please verify if their key is printed on a sticker in the same manner, or if this is a known problem?

On the back of my jewel case of SFC3 there is a white rectangular stinker and in red text it says

Star Trek: Starfleet Command III (1.0) Part No. 32256 Don't Lose This Number! (CD key here) This CD key is required to fully use this product

Bah, this is hilarious. I have the original box AND the manual, and can't find the case. siiiigh. I don't remember a sticker like that, this one matches the size of what it's supposed to be perfectly, and when I searched for the phrase on the sticker on google, it turns out an identical sticker is on another activision game.

I think fate is toying with me. =(

i think you can't install the game unless you have the CD key for the CD you have in your drive. i guess you have to chase down you're brother then
