Hi, just bought my game, loaded it on my: Windows ME OS, 1.4 ghz AMD, Geforce2 mx400 machine. Everytime it goes to load it gives me the the following: Wolf 1.32 win-x86 May 1 2002 ----- FS_Startup ----- Current search path: C:\Program Files\Return to Castle Wolfenstein\main\sp_pak3.pk3 (14 files) C:\Program Files\Return to Castle Wolfenstein\main\sp_pak2.pk3 (232 files) C:\Program Files\Return to Castle Wolfenstein\main\sp_pak1.pk3 (1342 files) C:\Program Files\Return to Castle Wolfenstein\main\pak0.pk3 (4775 files) C:\Program Files\Return to Castle Wolfenstein/main

I downloaded the new patch, downloaded the latest drivers for my Geforce, download OpenGL and installed all three again, sometimes twice. No change. What am I missing here? Thanks - Brian

I have a couple older machines that have the GeForce 2 400mx in them and these both play RTCW pretty well. Go to Nvidia.com and get the latest Nvidia drivers and see if that helps you. You might be missing some important files. ALso, get the latest Direct X drivers too.

ALSO

Try to start the game from the SAFE MODE, in your Program files. (start, Programs, Return to Castle Wolfenstein/ Multiplayer (or single player) SAFE MODE. )

I get this error too if I try to enable to resolution size that is too large for my monitor.

If you have any downloaded maps, just copy and save them in a separate folder if you plan on reinstalling RTCW. Reinstalling the game is the last thing you should try, but it isn't devastating either and there is a chance some of the files are corrupt when you installed the game.

good luck
