Friends: I am dying to get back online to RTCW, please help. I have played on same h/w until about 3 months ago. I upgraded to XP server pack 2. Single player is fine. I run RTCW 1.41 patch and have added the PBWEB update in my pb folder. I log in to a server and get kicked off after about 10-15 seconds. My computer frezes at that point. A friend on the server says he sees a General Authentication failure in a log about me or to reinstall or upgrade punkbuster. I have seen other similar posts and they all said to insure admin priviledges for my user. I disconnected my router so it is just 1 machine to cable modem to internet. I can play fine for about 15 seconds or so and then it happens. Tried several different servers with the same thing ( although I couldn't find any that didn't run punkbuster to try with punkbuster disabled. I am really getting withdraw and need to get back on line. Please Please help. Many Thanks

You did not say if you were logging into Windows as an administrator, or a user with administrator privileges.

I found this in another forum: Start -> Control Panel -> User Accounts -> Change account options (I think, my OS is in danish and you prolly won't get much help from that) -> Click on your account (The one you usually log into) -> Change account type -> Set the appropriate account type (Super User or Computer Administrator) Try this and see how it goes. I guess you got a radeon video card with the 4.10 drivers.

If I am right then you should try the 4.9 drivers out because the 4.10 drivers will lock up in any PB server.

Thanks very much to everyone. Three days trying myself. 20 minutes with your group. Excellent. I am so psyched. I had an Radeon 9200 with the 4.10 version of Catylyst that would freeze. Many people hooked me up with the 4.9 version and I am back in the game. Thanks again !!!!!
