Everytime i get an update, such as wolf 1.31 or 1.32, it never works after installation. i was running 1.31 and recently 1.32 came out, so i got it but didnt install it because of a fiasco i had with installing and uninstalling rtcw after i installed 1.31 and it wouldnt work. i must have uninstalled and reinstalled rtcw about 15 times before it magically worked. well i worked up enough balls to install it and what do you know, it doesnt work. it says its waiting for a response from the master server and will never get a list of servers, and if you try to manually go to a server it still wont work. i really dont want to have to uninstall and reinstall 15 more times..whats goin on? help would be EXTREMELY appreciated :D
do you have zone alarm or anything like that running when you try to get servers up , zone alarm is that thing that blocks are internet usage, its a precautionary thing to keep viruses out. if you do turn iit off because that sounds like a problem my bro has
i feel like a retard i never even thought to try that..thanks man, ill try that. mucho appreciato bro:mepimp: ill post back if it works
Zone alarm, a major pain in the butt program is a firewall. The pain comes when you try to uninstall it and you get a lot of start up windows errors.....
Anyway, sounds like you might have a firewall running. Usually this is not a problem, as I have a router that has a built in hardware firewall. The only problem is hosting a server, so you have to use a DMZ for the host computer to allow it to go around the firewall. (literally means "DeMilitarized Zone")
Hope you can get your MP working, see ya at the beach, I'm the one with the drink with the umbrella by the landing craft.
I use ZA all the time and never have a problem, except with Dungeon Siege. Just tell the firewall to allow the progy to access and recieve from internet. Another thing to check is manke sure wolf is trying to access the correct IP for the wolf master: wolfmaster.idsoftware.com:27950 126.96.36.199:27950
