k see i liked STALKER Shadow or chernobyl with oblivion lost, it was the best mod Imo, so i was wondering is the Oblivion Lost team going to make a mod for Clear Sky thats sort of oblivion lost.. eg drivable cars, more weapons, game never ends etc, cuz without those kinds of mods the game aint that good

Sorry to say, but I dont think Kanyhalos cares much for CS enough to try a new Oblivion Lost. Its really not his sort of game, and it is a distant cry from the first Stalker.

Various mods will rise to fill the void soon enough, I hope. Freeplay is a must, who doesn't want that?

More weapons is also a given (I REALLY wanna see some American classics at some point. Its a fact that at least a few thousand 1928 Thompson SMGs made it to Russia in the final days of WW2, so its not that much of a stretch...)

Cars, we can do without. They were crap in SoC, and guides make them obsolete enough.

I wonder what the AMK team's thoughts are on CS, seeing as they assisted GSC in some aspects of the game. I'd look to the Russian community first for the quality mods.

I agree with you, Servalion. Kanyhalos has said he's not messing with CS. He gave alot of reasons, but I think the truth of the matter is that CS is different enough to make converting the mod he spent hundreds of hours perfecting a super-frustrating task. He'd basically have to start all over again, and it would take him ELEVENTYEIGHTEEN decades to get all the bugs out. Also...alot of the modder-gods are beginning to losing interest. I've heard the next big challenge is probably going to be FarCry 2 - although personally the first one sucked so bad I can't see wasting good money on it, let alone modding it. My personal bet is that Fallout 3 is going to be as mod-able as Elder Scrolls: Morrowind & Oblivon. The background engine that drives the game is pretty much the same, so I'm guessing the file structure will be too. If they release an editor with Fallout 3, or provide one after-market as a download, you can bet alot of modders will be working on new wasteland adventures. Having said that....both STALKER games have alot of untapped potential that I think alot of people have been missing. I was thinking about this today..and I think I'm going to throw up some ideas for ppl to chew on.
