Called into my local branch of GAME at lunchtime (oi'm in Ipswich - no I haven't strangled any prostitutes lately).
They have Clear Sky in boxes in the storeroom and will be putting it on the shelves when they open tomorrow morning.
The manager is a PC gamer and a STALKER and when I told him about the problems there have been with the game he went and opened one up to check it had a manual and a registry key in it. It did.
I paid him a deposit for that specific one, just in case. But it's looking good for anyone that wants to try playing it this weekend here in the UK.
GREAT NEWS! IM SO HAPPY!

any problems so far?

I've read on another forum that theres a suppily cache bug that affects the saved game and eventually causes it to crash. A russian patch recently came out, I'm waiting for the english version because by the sounds of it you have to start a new game.
Preordered the game, will be posting as soon as I get it :) (which better be soon!)
No problem for me so far - other than just being rubbish at shooting games and dying a lot....

So many I don't know where to start. I've played, at the most, 20 minutes of gameplay but it CTD's roughly every 5. I've given up.
This is not a new game; it's an expansion pack (and not a very good one) at best. Thirty pounds for an expansion pack THAT DOES NOT WORK is taking the piss.
It's full of bugs (yes I patched it), I'm running a dual core machine on a 64 bit OS and it uses 1 F***ING CORE so I'm glad I spent all that extra money on a faster CPU, but that doesn't really matter as it CTD's every five minutes or thereabouts, there's no error log to even give me a hint of what's causing it.
Basically it sucks huge sweaty balls and I'm putting it back on my shelf until GSC gets it's act together and releases a patch that makes it an Alpha version as this is, without a doubt, a Beta.
I blame Microsoft for making us all get used to paying for shit software that doesn't work properly until about a year after you bought it; I don't know any other market in the world where manufacturers can release something that isn't finished and expect you to pay full price for it.
If GSC's next game isn't the absolute best game ever made in the Universe ever I don't think anyone will buy it and they'll be out of business in a year. After the way they have just treated all their customers as if they are stupid for the 2nd time I doubt they will be around much longer.
