Ok, so i've been playing Clear Sky for 2-3 days now, and it´s pretty OK actually... I've tried modding the game myself, semi-succesfull... I've managed to create a new Unique superweapon,(im the only one to get it in the game i think) wich i get from the trader in the beginning with loads of ammo...it's a modified LR300.. i've also been able to change the detector i recieve, and my weightlimit... but im wondering if anyone knows how to make a new suit (tried to make one from my shoc game, didn't work... and also.. i would like to change the range for my elite detector... cuz it's freakkin hard to find artifacts in this game.. only one i've ever found was the one they point you to in the beginning... so...anyone could help?

To change the detectors, try looking in 'gamedata\configs\misc' and open the file 'devices', then look for the sections [detector_simple] and [detector_advanced].

You could try changing 'af_radius' and 'af_vis_radius'.

All I've done so far is play with weapon damage and some immunities.

i suspected it was those 2 that needed to be changed.. do you know what they do? and how about adding things to the detector... like the elite detector being able to spot all artifacts and all anomalies, do you know how to do that?

The bits in bold are what artifacts can be detected. If you look at each detector, they list different artifacts. Try copying the artifacts from the simple and advanced detectors, and adding them to the elite one.

I think that 'af_radius' is how far the detector can pick up artifacts, and 'af_vis_radius' is how close you have to get for the artifact to become visable. So setting af_radius and af_vis_radius to the same value would mean a detector finds and makes artifacts visable at the same distance.

I would go into the game and see if any of this works myself, but my rig is in bits at the moment =p

thank you! the detector change worked! But i'll be damned if i find an artifact that is easy to get... this game surely won't be about collecting artifacts, since all of them are in really dangerous places... =( anyway... anyone knows how to make a brand new suit? still having problems with that, and if i want to get to the artifacts, im gonna need one... if you have any tips... please help me..

Well you could start off with a good sound pack and some weapons skins. Most of which from Stalker: SoC should work just fine in CS. At least that's what people are saying on Stalker.FileFront.com

Bad_Motha i don't want to be rude, but how is that helping me? lol... i asked if someone knew how to make a new suit, and you suggest to make a new soundpack and weaponskins? a well.. still..if anyone knows how to make a new suit.. please help me
