I am gutted. I had a nice shiny SGI 5k that was only one upgrade away from completing the accuracy tree. I left it in a stash in Garbage while I went off to do some missions, and burn through some of the AK ammo I had. I left the 5k and my NATO ammo in the stash.

Now I have just returned, and ALL the upgrades have gone. Is that about 15-20k RU of work gone up the swanny?

I am quite frustrated (I'm not good at the game really, resale value for things is very low, so I earn most my cash doing boring fetch/carry stuff) because it will now take me a few days of playing to earn enough to get my gun back how it was before.

That will teach me for using a stash to stash things in. Looks like you have to pick your weapon early and stick to it - all of the non-compatible ammo will have to be wasted - there is no way you can carry everything!!

If it is a stash that is used by AI (loot their bodies, and an icon will appear on the map) then existing stuff you put in will be replaced by the AI's stash.

Put your stuff in a stash that is never used by AI (in ShOC, I used the one by sidrovich and the one in 100 rads bar).

Funny how I never seen a problem with AI taking from stashes in ShOC. Is this something new to CS?

Sorry what I meant was the scripted stashes, not real AI looting. Like when u loot a dead body you get a message up saying "backpack behind the gaspipe" etc. If that stash happens to be one that you have put items in, those items will dissapear and will be replaced by whatever the game puts in.

I tried putting a load of guns (I'd collected everything I could while in the swamps) I was carrying around into a stash and they vanished instantly, I hadn't even closed the Inventory screen - they were just ceasing to exist as soon as I clicked on them.

Mmmm - Clear Sky is a quality product.

Oh, that didn't happen. It was the 5k i had (almost fully) upgraded, 2 viper 5's (I think one of those had upgrades, though I'm not 100% certain), a few Bandages/Medipacks (Always good to have a few extra lying around!), and a hunting rifle (because the 'trader' there won't buy guns yet..). After a quicksave/quickload due to a rather unfortunate encounter with a couple of beasties in the middle of the night the upgrades for the gun had gone. It was still the same level of repair (about 90% or so), but the scope was loose and there was no green arrow anymore. It had kept the silencer on it but the scope - as it requires the upgrade - was now just in the stash on it's own. Everything else was exactly how I had left it.

I had the autosave from joining the level though, and have continued from there. From now on I won't leave any modded guns in stashes, I use save/load too much (grenade magnet!) I just have a 5kg lump more than needed everywhere I go - I have a 'tuned' AK and the 5k, so none will be left in a stash!!

What version is everyone who posted to this problem, have? I have the Russian version and since I had a good game going under 1.00, I'm sticking to it for now. Only problems I've had were some CTD issues here and there, but I quicksave offen and also manually save a backup incase the quicksave gets corrupted. As I've had happen a few times in ShOC. Anyways yeah now that you explain more about hiding in stash then it showing on map and stuff being gone yeah that is a problem I've seen and it stinks. But what about these dark green and a few blue ones that around camp areas and control points? Are they safe to use?

Same thing happened to me; had an upgraded Viper 5 stuck it in the chest by the trader in Cordon, after wiping out the army I come back and it lost all its upgrades.

uuuhhh Garbage is controlled by bandits, and they don't like you, so what do you do, of all places you stash your goodies there; this is Stalker clear sky not the original game.
