Bad_Motha;4585548Well is it just me? But I used to be able to do that. Having the guide take you to Cordon. Then going back to swamp and walking to another exit. But now with patch 1.5.04, I can't do that, it won't let me go back to Swamp. I also can't go to Garbage. I was hoping to be able to go to another map without doing all the Stalker stuff. As I have another game going now and I just wanted to roam around and such, seems you can't. WTF!
i dunno cause once i installed the latest patch, the game wouldnt even launch for me anymore. Had to reinstall and re patch to 1.1
An1m4l;4585545Theres a MUCH easier way past this. go back to the swamps, head north, and up there near a farmhouse is an entrance to the cordon without any magic machine guns that can spot you in the dead of night hidden behind a rock from 10 miles away
What I did. The MG is rediculous. I even went back down to the base afterwards and slaughtered the Military for it. Free AK's and there was an artifact in one of the buildings too.
I will look for that teli, thanks. Is it marked on the map or not?

Yeah i think its automatically marked once youve been to the cordon, youll see 2 entrances now, the machine gun one, and the easy one up top
I think this thread should be made sticky, as this is probably the most asked question :)
I'm pretty sure the marker is always there, along with all the other ones. HOWEVER, you must take the guide to Cordon first, otherwise it will bug and not let you speak to Sid.
Do what I did.
Run towards the rock. Dump every heavy and cheap item you have. Then make a mad dash towards the newbie camp ignoring all the cover (because the PKM will go right through it) And I avoided the fire because I ran in a zigzag (well half zig zag I went one sided) and I miraciously survived. Easiest way to do it.
@Soul: Yeah, that way you're sure to get hit. No thanks.
Big thanks to the tip of re-entering Swamps so the new Cordon marker appears.
No I'm serious the MG can't track you well. Lol you thought I was lying or joking?? Try it if you don't believe me. Just running on the road away from the MG is enough. The PKM doesn't track you.
The PKM is like the helicopter. They don't track you well if you are sprinting like mad.
Yeah i've tried it. And died. And died again. And again. And again. And again. And again.
Anyways i'm way past that part now.
