Well clear skies is now in stores but I'm debating this: Is the game polished?? I'm wondering if I should wait till the price goes down and the game is more stable before I go and blow 50 bones on it. So anyone who has it: Is it good?
In Russia the price for game has not gone down - 34$
I wounldn't recomend spending that much money on it. While I'm not saying it is by far a bad game but now that I've played it I'm looking forward to Diablo III and Dawn of War 2 even more because I will finish Clear Sky but it feels like a chore playing it. The faction aspect of S.T.A.L.K.E.R has never really appealed to me and it has always been about mutants and underground laboratories. From what I've heard there is more human AI than mutant horror in this game so if you're into faction wars be my guest the game faction system is amazingly intricate. But if you fell in love with S.T.A.L.K.E.R because of the fear of weird and wonderful mutants, lust for artefacts and are an adrenaline junkie for whom waltzing into X18 armed to the teeth and blowing a snork away is the best feeling in the game world... find a good MOD for Shadow of Chernobyl and stick with it.
Wudustan puts things pretty well there.... all I can add is that there are unfortunate things like the weapon crosshair won't stay off if you unselect it from the options menu - it reappears whenever you have a dialogue or reload (no doubt a patch will fix it...) - also the game itself is missing things like mutant parts.... and the weapon configs are... questionable (I'm working on that).
I can't beleive they haven't fixed the gay "AI are invincible when they are doing the wounded animation" bug.
ie, shoot a guy, he shouts "oh no, the pain, lights...fading...". Meanwhile he's invulnerable to shots, and then he just shoots you in the head as if nothing has happened.

Are you SURE that's what actually happens?.... my take has always been that it's the probability miss factor that makes it "seem" that way - ie. the probability thing is not so easy to spot normally when you're in motion combat so to speak - but it really jumps out and grabs you when you're shooting at someone who is standing still. Let me put it this way, I disabled the probability thing after about half an hour of play and I'm taking out guys during the wounded anim all the time (with the probability thing , yes you need to get 5 or 6 shots at them before they recover).
Does the Ai still have x-ray vision?? eg. they can see you through thick foliage or in the dead of night.
