I've heard some worrying news from Routers News Agency that said "many gaming companies are facing difficult times due to the collapsing sales pre-christmas times" and they said that among the worst effected ones are the GSC game world and it's facing bankruptcy, because Clear Sky did not sell es expected and returns from the shops to the supplier are 50% guys, it'll be disastrous if GSC bankrupts, they have made wonderful games. Clear sky is not as bad as some people try to show. It had some initial glitches but they have been ironed out by now. They have developed very clever games and very atmospheric ones as well. They have some of the best developersaround, as far as I can see, i guess many will agree too. i couldn't get a response from GSC. Does it mean that (if they close GSC game world) we can't get any new patches from GSC developers either?

Well, if its true, there is nothing you can do about it. They were never going to fix whats wrong with CLEAR SKY in my opinion, so we are left with SOC.

I feel like some other developer will purchase the rights to make another stalker though it will be years and years.

Consder that: 1. Rawlin registered today just to post this. 2. There is no link. 3. There is no mention of GSC at Reuters. 4. There are numerous obvious reasons why the claim is not at all likely, such as Reuters having no way of knowing Clear Sky sales.

Yes, I have registered yesterday. There is nothing wrong with it. We all need to register one day, any day at the end. What's it got to do with it? I'm not not from a rival game company or something if you try o imply this. I don't think any game company like Ubisof and EA would be threatened by GCS anyway, lol. I have a right to register anytime I wish, in order to be able to ask something which is credible, I (or no one else) needs to be registered for many years to ask something from to the community... For your information: Neither Routers, nor FOX or ABC, BBC do not keep links for days, particularly if they are gaming company type of news. There are many more important news going on in the world, you surely know this, as everybody knows it. Current news, (if you care to look around and not expect that everyting need to be prepared for you, and that those companies keep those links unchanged until you go and look) says that UBISOFT and EA is in increasingly trouble and Ukrainan based company has approached them for possible buy -out (or something whatever is called) but they didnot pursue this offer as they are also cash strapped. Go search the internet yourself. One more thing, all I'm concerned about if I'll be getting anymore patches or not. But actually, at the end of the day, it's not a big deal either financially(though I like both SoC and Clear Sky) because I got SoC 5 and Clear Sky for less then 10 dollars each on ebay. No big loss to me, but it'd be a big loss to lose the company, for they may bring more games into the market. So, it's not my biggest concern, it wsa just an enquiry about the contuniation of pathes or not, lol. So, who are you exactly? Apart from being being a councillor of war and else. I guess you're from GCS marketing department? So you refuse that GSC is facing bankruptcy or something? That's good. :) :) And Why wouldn't routers know GSC sales? Sales numbers are freely available to the market. I personally sell CDs in my shop and all shop owners know each others sales, if you're subcribed to it. Routers is a financial news agency, I guess they should know more than the shop owners. Anyway, if GSC says it's OK, that's very good news. :)

Sigh, buying from ebay generally means GSC get no profit from your purchase. Somehow this entire thread has lost its incredibility

Still no link.

Game sales numbers are not freely available. Publishers usually announce first day/week sales, but there is little open information.

And, no, I do not work in GSC.

Wow.

And how in the hell did Don Reba register on December 8th when it's December 7th??

Unless he's Aussie or Far East Asian.
