consel commands ? to enable rain effects ? water? fog? :rolleyes: is it possible like in crysis config dx9 doing the dx10 features?:naughty:

From the name of your topic, I was like HUH?! You can't run DirectX 10 in XP. But now I see what you're asking. Well you could try switching some of those extra options on through the USER.LTX The default location for this file is "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\STALKER-STCS" It contains all the game's OPTIONS settings. Be sure to make a copy of that file before editing it. As changing something to a wrong value or turning on something your card doesn't support will crash the game back to desktop. Don't worry they can be changed back. This is why you make a backup :D Also could you please list your system specs. and your video card's driver version. It's a good idea to have the latest drivers installed for all your computer hardware, especially motherboard chipset, video card and sound card. As well as the latest DirectX updates from Microsoft's website. Download details: DirectX 9.0c Runtime (v9.24 - 8/08/2008) This DX Updater works for all versions of Windows using DirectX9 or 10

I second this, I have Crysis running with all the DX10 effects using edited config files on totally maxed out settings - Looks nice!!!!!!!!!

I run 20 fps in heavy scenes and upwards of 40 if i'm just running around

Edit: I have windows XP but a DX10 supported video card.

i got the wet surfaces on now and the fog but i dont see any rain ...need to salt the clouds ....??? WTF is the rain ? hasn't rain for 6 hours in my game ...and i can find any places with the dx10 fog ? hehehe damit ...how do you change the weather to rain aways ??? trying to tweek xp dx9 running dx10 enabled trying to get some screen shots posted under xp dx9 doing the dx10 features ...

i going to restart the game i can't get it to rain ...LOL another 6 hours today not a single drop of rain to try those dx10 hacks ...posting soon again stay tuned :cya: i can't even find the new fog in the fan blades :( i have the soft water thu

The game lets me turn on EVERYTHING Except Dynamic smoke and Wet Surfaces

i got the everything enabled...from editing LTX file in the game folder ...using the tweekguides.com stalker clear sky info on editing i just trying to figure out what else i need to enable in the video settings ..advance anyone know what its got to be on to run the dx10 rain ? i cant set my card to maximum setting because i get a error about not having pixel shader 1.1 ??? anyone ?? know what 1.1 is ? i tried the highest res setting and i don't unlock the rain streaking and drops on the cars??? ill be tweeking all night and morning ...this is fun stuff listening to madonna song RAIN right now trying to unlock the dx10 rain stuff
