loner stalkers took over the depot fairly sharpish in my game and held it for a very long time. however, while i was hanging back in cordon doing side-missions, they simply packed up and left the depot. a few seconds after the first bandits appeared near the entrance to red forest and a few seconds after that the depot was overrun by bandits again while the loner stalkers were hanging out near the depot base around the pipes right of the old train. ...they really are the noblest men of them all. they will vacate the enemy's stronghold so that badits can take over again- almost christian in their ways turning the other cheek.
point i'm trying to make lol, anyone know of a decent AI fix? anything to improve upon the utter random behaviour that the factions display.
LOL.. yeah I have been bothered by the exact same thing. It'd be great having an AI mod that make these units react as vile to each other as they treat you (when you're on their negative side, of course)..
Yeah.. I hope so too.. But sometimes it's fun to have a target practice at the depot.. it helped me kill some time waiting for uncle yar's mission, wait until the sun to rise.. Like the mission that I had to chase strelok in the red forest.. I used to go to the depot killing some bandit with my vintorez from afar while waiting for the sun to rise before I take that mission.. It's fun bullying the bandits when you're powerful...
Regarding factions AI...this games looks like ...one programmers or more wanted to play a trick to the lead programming guy.Because it's hard to believe that such a MORON could create this pointless AI behavior .Furthermore..Why bother to make factions etc if they are not balanced ? If they would 've been balanced the game had a very long life because it would be fun to replay the game with other factions.Bottom line, the guy behind the story of Stalker CS is a retardate , a guy for which LOGIC is meaningless. And the one responsabile to CHECK if everything has meanings and logic is as guilty as that one, too.
I never liked this. Vacating spots? What the bloody hell? Makes me feel like holding their hand while I single-handedly save them all was for naught. This is no way to treat a player.
If anything, your fellas should never give up the spot. What should happen is that if your pals fight off enough of them foes, the foes come at them in larger numbers. Isn't this what's SUPPOSED to happen in RL? If they really want the post, bring a bigger force, I say. It'll also make things more interesting if you're still around to help.
