If the AI had to hunt for food and money as well, and had the ability to use traders. I'd love to see characters deep into the zone, picking up various artefacts, and then reporting back to the trader to sell them - to buy supplies and weapons.

One thing I wonder though, is the unlimited ammo problem with the AI fixed in Clear Sky? I hate to see that the AI are shooting at for me for hours, and then I check their corpse, and they only have 7 bullets. It really ruined the believability factor for me.

I must say, though, Faction Wars looks positively amazing - I really can't wait to see it.

The game should be arriving within the next couple of days - and boy, am I going to play it until my fingers bleed. ;) That is, if it CTD every five minutes. :(

I don't think the infinite magical ammo of the AI is something GSC plan on changing, to be honest. But yeah, it'd be great if they behaved more like the player and were subject to the same logistical issues.

Give it a few years, and hopefully the SDK will be released, and someone will be able to mod it. I just hope people keep interest in STALKER until then.

Ah, True. I have heard some real bad things about errors and glitches. Some people have been lucky enough to not encounter anyway - I'm hoping to be able to do the same.

ive encountered a few crashes, but its hasnt been that bad for me. However it feel incomplete gameplay wise though.

the side missions that we had in SOC are non existent in CS, instead they are just crappy give me 3 x B ammo or 2 x C first aid kits. nothing great. very few go and kill X mobs attacking Y zone etc

Plus it really does suck that we dont have access to wild territory, the bar, pryittap(sp) the scorcher. Even liminsk is lackluster because its completely linear and halfway through leminsk it becomes a point of no return.

there is also a server lack of mutants in the game. to be honest id be quite happy to have the lore thrown out so that there could be a patch that would open up free play mode and combine CS and SOC

Man, that sucks to hear about the side missions. I thought it was said that there would be a lot more of that this time around. Mods can add more of those later on I suppose, but it really shouldn't be up to us. I'm seeing more and more how CS doesn't retain the Stalker feel. Stalker was already feeling like a shoot-'em-up to me, and CS just keeps sounding easier and easier....

And thanks for the insight on Limansk. The zone looks fantastic, but it being a point of no return is rediculous. Freeplay mods must fix that later on. I also lament the loss of the Red Forest, Pripyat, and Rostok (Bar/Wild Territory combined, as it likely would be now) & the Rostok Factory. How can that be, those are MAJOR sections. No Pripyat probably means that Monolith show up as much as the Mercs did in SoC - in other words, barely at all. I don't buy ANY reason why these weren't supposed to be there. Too much radiation, my ass. GSC just didn't have enough time to get them working properly. Because as we know, they needed a colossal amount of time just to get SoC out there after that amazing 2002 E3 display, and CS was done in, what, 1 1/2 years or so? Seriously, just how SMALL is their dev team?

Gawd CS is really a dissappointment. And I am a diehard STALKER fan but I absolutely hate it without rostok and especially pripyat. Pripyat is like the icon of the zone and the cheyronobl distaster because of the huge loss of life there. And GSC removed that icon. So this isn't the zone. It's just some random battlefield in Ukraine.
