Been at it for a while now. Got an exoskeleton, FN2000, Predator shotty, all fully modded, and a crap load of sniper rifles, assault rifles, machine guns, gausss gun etc etc. Many modded up too. I just carry the FN and the shot gun. A pile of ammo, slugs for the shotgun and armor piercing NATO ammo with 40mm grenades for the FN. I used to carry more, I have an exoskeleton that ends up 20Kg better after full mods and artifacts to get me to 100 Kg if I want. More is too much. The FN is all anyone really needs and the 12 shot full auto shotgun, always with slugs, is just devastating.
Wandering around with just under 200,000, in rubles I guess. I don't get to spend it much because the inhabitants of Midsummer put more ammo in my box than I can use, the good stuff too. I killed a chimera, woop de doo and some bloodsuckers too now they love me. In Creek they give me health packs, army ones. I played the game a bit backwards, the translations are hilarious but sometimes confusing and I got to Prypiat and kinda went combat crazy and now sort of own the city. I go on regular sweeps to keep the streets clean. I killed a bunch of chimeras before I knew what they were and the one for the mission I did with one grenade from my baby. A grenade launcher really evens up the mini boss fights. I only kill em' when I have to. I like to watch the creatures interacting it's relaxing.
I can't get the Colonel to talk to me. I turned down one mission to kill the mercs who were in with the bad scientists I guess. I am supposed to find out the source of the bit that brought down the two helicopters, 3 and 5 I think. I dunno, I have a big pile of paper that says it's important and some other stuff but no one wants it and he just ignores me.
Oh well. I'll figure it out. Now I have a world to protect. I wander around helping with monsters and such. Helped a bunch of Duty guys with a pseudogiant yesterday. They are tough. Oh yeah the traveling spark deals like at the power plant/crash site are poltergeists I think, anyway you can kill em' ;).
Watching mutated dogs eating each other is relaxing? O.o I killed something big that was crawling and had no legs but took about 40-50 shotgun slugs to kill.. I think that was a pseudogiant right? It was near the forest anomoly in Jupitor after getting the gauss rifle mission. By far the hardest monster ive killed but my stupid PDA still says the hardest monster killed is a chimera.. I dont think that part of the PDA is working properly, because it went from chimera to burer to chimera again.. that doesnt make sense! I wish it said the name of the monster too. All it shows is a dumb picture.
Anyway about your question.. make sure you have investigated every chopper in Creek and Jupitor then go to the Colonel in Pripyat Laundromat. If you have done this already, check your mission log and make sure you have all the primary missions complete.. (yellow ones).. if they arent then follow them up and it should bring you to the right part of the story.
Good Luck :)
Oh sure the wildlife is wonderful. I wander round to relax after playing games I don't kinda own. When you figure out artifacts and hang some good ones on your belt .... well I have over 100 health packs scattered around but I seldom use em' 'cause I regenerate quite fast just standing around. It's actually a bug ... the frozen Colonel. I'll buy the game when it comes out and happily go through again.
Yeah the puesdo giant kinda looks like a chimera but he's slow and pounds the ground for a physic wave. He eats up more firepower but I've never found him to be that dangerous. The chimera will kill you if you are not careful. Slugs and NATO armor piercing helps quite a bit. A 40mm grenade will pretty well kill a chimera, takes a couple and some fire to do a pseudo giant.
I didn't make it!
For all documents, check with scientists and get payed for copies made if they require them. Check with Owl at Zanton to sell or not?
