Well, i have seen a couple mods for Call of Pripyat that completely take out degrading items, but i think that's just a bit of an overkill. Also, the standard degrading rate is too fast, which is an overkill in the opposite direction...
What im looking for is a way to cut the degrade rate to about 1/3 the vanilla rate for all weapons/armor. which file would i edit to do so? and which values?
In gamedata/configs/misc/outfit change the values from 0.0 (no damage taken/no degrade) to a higher value for each suit. The game ignores the stuff after the ; so I belive those would be the original suit values. Don't change the second part like [sect_scientific_outfit_immunities_add] because that is the protection level it gives the player. [sect_scientific_outfit_immunities] burn_immunity = 0.0 ; = 0.01 ;êîýôôèöèåíòû èììóíèòåòà ñàìîãî êîñòþìà strike_immunity = 0.0 ; = 0.0 shock_immunity = 0.0 ; = 0.0 wound_immunity = 0.0 ; = 0.03 radiation_immunity = 0.0 ; = 0.0 telepatic_immunity = 0.0 ; = 0.0 chemical_burn_immunity = 0.0 ; = 0.0 explosion_immunity = 0.0 ; = 0.04 fire_wound_immunity = 0.0 ; = 0.02 For weapons change the values in gamedata/configs/weapons and in each weapon file change condition_shot_dec and maybe misfire_probability for less misfires. condition_shot_dec = 0.0008 for the g36/gp37 seemed like a good value. misfire_probability = 0.005 misfire_start_condition = 0.6 misfire_end_condition = 0.1 misfire_start_prob = 0.003 misfire_end_prob = 0.043 condition_shot_dec = 0.001 condition_queue_shot_dec = 0.0012
