Is it possible to make an artifact increase how much weight the player can carry and still sprint? Not just how much weight he can carry and still walk. This would make Night Star and Gravi much more useful, right now I just sell them. If there isn't some kind of hidden property I wonder if a script could be attached somehow to change the actor's properties. Note that both inventory_weight and inventory_weight2 don't do this, and pasting properties and values from actor.ltx doesn't either. :(

I think the problem lies with the system file, it lists the max as well, and upgrades / suit pockets probably don't effect that for some, Stalker bug reason.

Hmm indeed, that might explain why it can't be easily changed.

Best suggestion I can give you is to just ignore the problem and up your carry weight to some insane number so you never have to worry.

Honestly, I don't think the ability to carry that much is that game breaking.

Well the thing is that's not the problem, it's that I want to make those artifacts stronger.

You could make the artifact reduce this value :

overweight_walk_k

Which seems to be a multiplier of the walking power (stamina) consumption, and this one too :

sprint_k

Same as above, but with sprinting.

The artifact would reduce the impact of the weight (in the limits of the max_walk_weight value) on your stamina consumption.

Actually, there are already artifacts that have the same purpose. the ones wich augment your stamina regeneration speed. The good ones (+6) almost double your sprinting distance, while keeping your power draining intact.

He's talking about the fact you drain stamina at an increased rate when over 50 KG, despite having Artifacts/Suit Upgrades increasing your minimum weight.

Yeah, it's the increased stamina drain rate that's killin' me.

Then the request needs reformulating. You can sprint while overweight, untill you reach 10% of your stamina reserve.

I found no sign of an overweight sprint stamina draining factor (in actor.ltx). So it leads me to think that the sprint is only a multiplier of walk_power.

When overweight, the mechanic adds overweight_walk_k to the stamina draining formula, to wich you add sprint_k when you run.

So what you need to do is change overweight_walk_k with your artifact.

Try overweight_walk_k =-6 in your artifact attributes.

You're right, that didn't seem to work though.
