Clear Sky Mods v1.0 by Bad_Motha Tested under v1.5.03 & v1.5.04 ------------------------------------------------------------- Features: - 500kg Carry Weight - Bright longer range flash light (50 meters!) - Abakan, AK-74, AKS-74U can all upgrade to the more realistic 40 rd mag - MP5 can now go in the pistol slot - MP5 has 30 rd mag by default; 50 rd after mechanic upgrade - Beretta can now do single & full-auto - Beretta has 15 rd mag by default; 30 rd after mechanic upgrade - Realistic accuracy and damage for Abakan, AK-74, AKS-74U, Beretta, MP5, SVD - Realistic SVD Skin with Wood - Real Weapons Names, including name fixes to dialog / quests - Allows the use of weapons ANYWHERE, no more being forced to put your weapon away in certain zone areas; i.e. Bases, Camps, Trade areas. - Improved sounds for all weapons (Real AK reload sound) - Flash Drive quest issues have been fixed - Ability to fully trade with NPCs - UI has been fixed so you will always get the YES and NO option to enter an area - Cordon & Garbage travel fixes included - Realistic high quality textures for all blood spatters - Artifacts only weight 0.01 - Mechanics are improved and can now work on more guns by default - Removed I/O Disk loading icon - Realistc & accurate scopes - Nightvision Upgrade Fix for Suits - Includes Russian to English translations Translations won't crash game, 100% working Users with Russian version of ClearSky can simply rename folder "gamedataconfigstexteng" -to- "gamedataconfigstextrus" ------------------------------------------------------------- Installation: 1. Nice shit! Honestly, I'm going to pick apart your mod though and use just what I like :) (mp5 pistol, svd skin, - the rest is already taken care of ;) )

Hey no prob. ~ Do what you will. Enjoy! The MP5 changes I made changes ALL MP5 to a pistol. Even NPC. It doesn't crash though :D If something does, please don't get upset, but let me know. I'll be happy to fix or improve on it. I tested the mods individually and all together, so hopefully I covered all the loose ends already. Also forgot to mention there is no need to start a new game. You can if you like. But existing saved games will work.

Nice work, Now I got mp5 pistol, w/ susat on it XD I like how you changed weapon class on beretta from wpn_pm to wpn_lr300~ so thats how you make it auto =] and I like your work on getting the mp5 to be compatible for pistol slot, and your adaptation of that guys SVD skin, all very nice work, great compile!

I forgot to edit something somewhere, wanna clue me in? When I'm holding MP5 and detector, the mp5 is aiming to the right of my screen (doesn't go offscreen though) did I miss some hand pos angles or cam angles?

edit uh oh, now game random ctd during play

That is the small little quirk that happens when holding detector. It for some reason makes the model point off to the right. Doesn't effect gameplay at all. It's gotta be somewhere in the alignment of how they appear on screen I suppose. It seems to be using the 16x9 settings, even though I was only using 4x3 (1024x768). I'm not 100% they are using the 16x9 setting, but the detector does appear to show further to the left then when u hold an actual pistol. EDIT: Hmm you sure you using this pack as a standalone? Gameplay didn't seem to effect anything for me and I tried every weapon, each in it's own situation of use in combat, even had plenty of times where I was testing others things too and I needed to fight in an area and I was switching all through the weapons. Mean while the enemy was using AKS74U or MP5. There were others too like Shotguns and PMM but I didn't change those, or include them.

How the X & Y for the on screen positions work, well that was the one things I've never messed with in SOC. Never needed too. I guess now in CS I will have to play with it more.

crapzilla i'm getting random ctd about 10-20 seconds after equipping/playing with mp5

what would cause a delayed crash?

typos in .ltx usually stop you from loading your saved game, or crash immediately after - seomtimes at the main menu too, dunno whats up.

different subject- does the new gui/ui box for entering/leaving level changers in gamedata/ui require anything other than that UI folder?

Just so I get a better idea, did you already have an MP5 when you loaded the game up with my mod? Did you upgrade it from mechanic? If you already had it on you, did you then try the mechanic upgrades? WHat other mods, if any, are you using? Just wondering. Ok well I guess I'll have to see. I already gave out this whole package yesterday to 2 of my buddies who are working their way through the game. They said they loved it and that they didn't run into any issues. Considering they are both using US English Retail version and I'm using Russian version, this further pushed me to released it as neither them or myself have had any "crash" related issues.
