@ EDGAR Did you try throwing your already upgraded MP5 on the ground and grabbing a stock one to see if it still gives you any problems? Just as a test...

I've been using w_mp5.ltx for the last 11 minutes in game, wiped out all bandits/stalkers in western side of garbage/garbage base no problems here

gonna try w_beretta_up.ltx now... so far only w_mp5_up.ltx gave me game crash (and that file is unedited, straight from your .rar download!:( )

Edit: Used w_beretta_up.ltx for 10 minutes, no probs, going to try w_beretta.ltx - seems like my problems are coming from w_mp5_up.ltx - but even if so, then why??

WELL, now it seems... both w_beretta.ltx and w_mp5_up.ltx both cause my game to CTD

w_mp5_up.ltx causes me to crash after using the mp5 for a minute, while

w_beretta.ltx gives me a CTD when I open up inventory and click it to equip.

However, w_mp5.ltx and w_beretta_up.ltx cause no problems...

~ OmG, the SVD Skin is so Unbelievably SEXY that I cannot believe that it is in STALKER CS

I will try dropping the MP5 and using a bandits MP5 (if they drop one~)

ok, I think I can guess what the problem is... I'm trying to use Karstux Ironsights for Pistols - PLUS your Auto Beretta modification, and I think somewhere they're not liking each other.

If you wanna try and get the gamedata/configs/weapons/w_beretta.ltx <-- Yours to work with the one found for download here: GSC Game World - Official Site

I'm still working on it myself... I'm removing the w_beretta.ltx from my weapons folder for the time being, and I put the w_mp5_up.ltx back in the upgrades folder, and I'm going to play some more and see if I continue to encounter crashes.

But yeah I've been playing with just Beretta and MP5 for last hour in game and NO PROBS. at all. Weather they are stock, or I upgrade em to full ROF and mag upgrade or full accuracy rating and mag upgrade, doesn't matter both working fine. Next I will try and fix the MP5 so it doesn't aim off to the right side of screen. And now that I've played more with Beretta, it's too powerfull, especially after the upgrades. But I will also add a bit more recoil, and increase ROF.

I'm going to try your w_beretta.ltx straight out of the .rar~ with the modded hit power/impulse

see how that goes... I do however get much more CTD's within 10 mins of playing using the w_mp5_up.ltx than without! I get 1 CTD per 10 mins as opposed to 1 CTD per 3 hours without =/

The -psp command line and over the shoulder cam 2 is soo damn cool

damn wtf... your w_beretta.ltx is giving me CTD asap game finishes loading "Client Synchronizing" then crash before loads into game.

I don't think it likes me changing hit impulse or dispersion or damage :(

Totally stock w_beretta_up.ltx and w_beretta.ltx and my game won't even load anymore...

It REALLY doesn't like w_beretta.ltx and I don't understands whyyyyyyyyyyy I took it right out of your .rar didn't even peek inside the .ltx and put them in weapons and weapons/upgrades...

Edgar how bout posting an error log if you're having problems with crashes, that way we can pinpoint what the problem is, instead of just saying oh it crashes.

Hey Bad_Motha, Props on the good mod! I wish I had the patience & time to figure this kind of stuff out - there are so many possibilities. I borrowed your idea about the Beretta pistol & created my own modified verson of the PB silenced pistol. I used the same trick you employed to give it an autofire setting, modified the damage, range, and accuracy stats, and gave it a larger clip capacity. Then I altered the zoom on the aiming option from 55 to 22. I didn't add a scope...but I get the same effect as a scope with the crosshairs. The end result is a pocket version of the Vintorez sniper rifle that uses 9x18 mm ammunition. The friggin thing works great!! Not only does it make a sweet little sniper weapon, but it''s a great back-up weapon for your Assault Rifle because it runs on 9x18 mm ammunition - which you are tripping over, and therefore will never run out. It's not anywhere near as fancy as that awesome MP5 you reworked as a pistol - but it does have the advantage of only taking me about 10 minutes to make. If anyone wants I can post the info on it - but honestly, if I can figure out how to do it anybody can. :cool:
