So I've had strange problems that no one else seems to have...

here's a couple, and what I've done to combat/fix them.

First one is a mystery. Its Bad_Motha's auto-beretta from w_beretta.ltx in configs/weapons folder. His .ltx changes weapon type and a few other things like Slot etc. The .ltx CTD's my game. However when I take those same lines from the w_beretta.ltx that crashes my game and put them on w_colt1911.ltx the game, and mod to the gun, work fine.

Solution is in progress. - Beretta started working out of the blue during testing, no crash/edit to report until next crash.

Now with Gnomus Scopes, the Binoc's end up being askew~ with clear lines on the sides.

Tried editing scopes_16.xml and the bino text line to 1440 width 900 height

Didn't yeild any difference. (set it to my resolution)

Another thing is adding wpn_crosshair_fn2000.dds texture to gamedata/texture folder and the w_fn2000.ltx to configs/weapons folder, loading or starting a game gives me this crash with bug report (From the error log, tells where error/crash originated from):

Description : XML node not found Argument 0 : wpn_crosshair_fn2000 Argument 1 : ui\scopes_16.xml

I took a line of (COPIED) wpn_crosshair_g36 and changed it to fn2000, seen here.

wpn_crosshair_fn2000wpn_crosshair_add_lwpn_crosshair_add_r

and changed g36 to fn2000 for each of them. ... Scope loaded up, as a similar view of the BINOCS with clear on the sides, and a big black square covering my screen that you can't see through as scope visual... (this fn2000 edit has to be in the scopes_16.xml or the game crashes.)

Also the G36 scope could be seen visible, but also had those invisible binoc lines on the side, cutting off the scope graphic... (From gnomus scopes for CS v1) Gnomus scopes v2 from SoC with edited size- 1024x1024 (from original size) loaded up yeilds the left half of the scope working proper, but the right half stretches/spans into horizontal lines that end in the same place the binocs do (leaving the side of the screen empty)

I'm going to try a few things, such as changing stretch="1" to 0; editing texture size to match width/height; and maybe editing

and .dds crosshair textures from 1024x1024 to 1440x900 (if anything ends up working, it can be edited to match your screen size, eliminating problems :) Scope's general shapes/sizes are different between Gnomus part1 for cs, gnomus version1 for cs, and gnomus v2 for SoC (which I'm also using (resized) to test on CS; I'll post updates on progress here.

Not sure what I changed, tried using multiple different g36 scope textures for wpn_crosshair_g36.dds, and one of them worked. fn2000 still gives black square all over screen (except sides are clear) for a scope, binocs still have blank open screen on sides as well...

also lowered F1 grenade to .01 kg by inv_weight = 0.01 ;.01 but in RGD5 grenade w_gd5.ltx changed inv_weight = 0.01 ;.01

and rgd5 still weighs .30kg? mmmmmmm Edit: found w_rgd5.ltx and changed weight to .01

So there is f1 and rgd5, is gd5 the RPG ammo? because rgd6 looks like the rocket launcher itself.

For scope textures, such as g36, psop, binoc etc. it seems even though statistical values and proportions may be the same for different files, and should work - it seems that when graphical issues arise, its from the texture itself - even though it may have the same proportions, correct alpha layer/s and all the rest... trying textures from G_mod, gnomus pt1 for cs, gnomus v1 for cs, and gnomus v2 for SoC and making the files the same..... each showed different (if less than pleasant/proper) results

Binoc fix? Here it is!! Edit yours to match your screen size ####x#### Pic included Pic HERE::::: ImageShack - Hosting :: binocfixjz1.jpg

in gamedata/configs/ui edit scopes_16.xml and scopes.xml (starting with _16 first below)

wpn_crosshair_binowpn_crosshair_add_lwpn_crosshair_add_rPut in your own resolution (your PC screensize, duh)and in scopes.xml change this (and put in Your resolution):

wpn_crosshair_binoGranted it looks Different, it doesn't however end up with Big Empty Blocks on the side of your screen.

Still can't get FN2000 scope to work, here's what it looks like:

FN2000 messup:: ImageShack - Hosting :: fn2000messuplo8.jpg

Trial and Error scope issues Please look and provide helpful info!! (both scopes below are for G36 Scope1: ImageShack - Hosting :: tne1kv0.jpg Scope2: ImageShack - Hosting :: tne2ym0.jpg Scope3: ImageShack - Hosting :: tne3id8.jpg

They're all Gnomus' scopes, doing those weird things. All same size: 1024x1024 (texture size)

My screens size is 1440x900 (screen size/ratio setting in game I play game on)

in gamedata/configs/ui edit scopes_16.xml and scopes.xml (starting with _16 first below)

Edited Exerpt from scopes_16.xml - Change all the X and Y's to 0 and the resolutions in bold to YOUR screen's resolution. Same goes for 2nd part near bottom of page. wpn_crosshair_binowpn_crosshair_add_lwpn_crosshair_add_rPut in your own resolution in place of my bold one, and in scopes.xml change the bold numbers to match (except use your resolution for width/height):

wpn_crosshair_binoGranted it looks Different, it doesn't however end up with Big Empty Blocks on the side of your screen.

Gnomus;4602774I'm afraid that didn't work at all for me..... 8(

setting stretch to 0 on binocs in both scopes.xml and scopes_16.xml and changing the resolution in text to match your PC's resolution didn't work? :( maybe I got lucky

It does look weird with the bottom of the scope missing.

What's it look like for you? Screenshot?

They all work for me without editing, but I'm only running 1024x768 I tried every gun in the game so far, except the FN2000.

I already removed the changes but I still had the pillorboxes plus the scope was stretches so that the right side and bottom were cut off. Blah! I finally got to the NPP and so got to properly test the FN 2000. Got the dreaded black square. Removing all the fn files so it defaulted to the games choice of g36 scope worked. At least it was properly looking down the G36 scope as opposed to a black square. Though as much as I liked the game (around the crashes that is) prior to the NPP at the NPP it's sure taking a lot of cheap shots and other straight bs making it one of the most unenjoyable levels on any game I've played.
