Hi I've recently been editing the fire sounds and I finally got them to a point where they dont echo or where you can here a pistol all the way across the map. Now my problem is that the npc gun shots are unheard. The only sound I can here slightly are the shotgun sounds. Any clue on how to make it so I can hear the gun fire coming from an npc?

How did you edit the sounds in the first place? via weapons.ltx using delay factor or another way?

Oh I made my own firing sounds by recordings and edited them with audacity. I noticed that all the firing sounds are 16-bit 44100hz mono and that is how i exported them because thats what the default firing sounds are.

I didn't edit the weapon.ltx as I figured I didn't need to. Does that really affect the volume on the npc firing?

If you want I can send you the soundfiles if you want to take a look at em.

Ohh , cool - sounds like you'll be releasing you're own sound mod :)

regarding weapon.ltx files, yes you can adjust sounds via: soundname = soundfile, (volume 0-1), (delay 0-1) without the brackets and using any decimal between 0 and 1.

As for your new sounds, I'm no pro with that sort of thing and this may be stating the obvious but make sure that you're new files are named and located exactly as the vanilla CS ones. Oh and check that you're not using another weapons mod that might adjust the volume or delay factor as above.

Thanks I'm going to check it out. After reading the tutorial it seems that I need to have them commented

I plan on releasing them but only when I believe the quality is good enough ;)

Update: Well I check all my files it seems everything is okay and commented properly Still getting the volume issues. I mean when we as the player firing the weapons it sounds beautiful just that when in a fire fight it sounds like the enemy has silencers on their weapons when they hold shotguns in their hands.
