::Real Weapons Names for Clear Sky V1.2::
This is just a simple mod which replaces the weapons names with those of the real life weapons. This is my first mod so it's nice and simple
Installation:
1) Drop the gamedata folder into your S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Clear Sky folder.
2) Edit the fsgame.ltx file so that it the $game_data$ line reads as follows:
$game_data$ = true| true| $fs_root$| gamedata\
3) Enjoy using the real names!
Any errors, or items missing, please send me a private message FileFront Gaming Forums.

Harry "Amraam" Marshall
But I have the Russian version of the game, with english translations. Would I just change the folder from "configs\text\eng" to "configs\text\rus" ???
Also, you put "VS VAL" it should be "AS VAL"

Doh, Thanks!
About the translation, I have no idea sorry. I assume you would do that, but backup to make sure.
Cool, all errors fixed. 1.1 is ready. :)

Yup!:)
I've just submitted 1.2 to Stalker files ;)
Very nice Amraam, but i prefer the CS names of weapons. It makes it easier for me, because if im using a guide for game and the weapon is called "Viper" but a mod turns the gun name to "MP5" im like.
"Theres no such gun called Viper, what the hell are you talking about !?"
And i get frustrated.

hehe understandable. AFAIK, someone has a mod like mine, but better, because it contains real names in the quests also. So instead of saying "find me a viper 5", you'd get "find me an HK MP5 submachine gun" for example.
I was simply too lazy, but I may get round to it one day.
It's an L85A1, not A2 - you can tell by the cocking handle (and crap reliability!!). And you don't need the 'Enfield' in front, the "L" number is the MoD designation. If you want to use it's 'unofficial' name it's usually SA80A1, or just "A1".
