1,800 RPM seems nice. You took away the auto centering on weapons, so emptying a full clip in something the size of a house would be a miracle. Even the AI doesn't use long bursts.

If you really want to balance things out, you could replace the full auto mode by a long (ish) 6-10 shot burst. Just to keep things in check.

Not sure if it's just me, but if you upgrade accuracy on the weapons now, their performance will decrease alot when using crouch / scope / ironsight.

Could be due to how the bonuses from the upgrade files are applied. Once i tweaked the accuracy a little bit up in the weapon file and slightly down in the upgrade file, it turned out to work just fine.

Otherwise it's a great mod :)

it all depends because while it might make the game easier if you have such a weapon...you just know that the AI also has access to that weapon...do you think the player could have a chance to survive if he and his squad come up against a mob or npcs with 2 or more weapons? keeping in mind that all a npc has to worry about is reloading

I recently started a new game (Master) with Chakky's Faction War Systamizer and Tw33kR's RWAB, and a slightly altered trader setup. And yes, you are completely right, the NPC's are waaaay harder, but im doing quite well, however i have to use heavy cover to much greater extent, and simply rushing into combat ends up with me dead in 30 seconds.

Now the zone actually feels chaotic and dangerous. Personally i like it better this way :)

I dont think this mod's aim is to make the game any easier, where is the fun in that? Improved gameplay is where Tw33kR wants, if i have understood it correctly :)

This problem is linked with the new dispersion defaults applied by the mod. And the way the dispersion bonuses are expressed in the upgrades files.

Take the ak74, wich has a base dispersion of 0.01. The second upgrade in the list applies a substraction (-0.08) to the base dispersion. You now see that 0.01-0.08 = -0.07.

You now have a negative dispersion. And the game doesn't cope well with this. You end up with a dispersion that looks more like 7.00.

Not a good one, and that's only for the first dispersion bonus. I edited my upgrade files and divided all disp. bonuses by a thousand. Just so the game doesn't break down in tears on my sorry lap.

I'll have to see if I can get the upgrade files to accept multiplications as bonuses expressions. To never have to spend two hours modding them again.

But i love the mod, by the way.

You have, with this mod, to tweak the damage bonuses also. Still with the AK74, wich has a base damage of 0.77.

Here is the first damage bonus mod :

[up_sect_f_ak74] cost = 1600 value = +50 bullet_speed = 200 hit_power = 0.45

The second one changes this 0.45 value with this one : 0.5

I applied a 10% damage augmentation by level of bullet acceleration. Maybe too much, though.

But I still love this mod.

that is why i dont call these types of mods cheat mods, because while yes, your weapons are more accurate...they are more accurate and more damaging for the npcs as well, which makes the game harder and easier and overall more enjoyable at the same time.

Hey guys - enjoying reading your comments. :) And yes, thyco / oldgiffer - my intent is very much not to be a cheat, but to increase the feel of needing tactics / cover for your engagements or you're toast. Blaktek's description of the upgrade problem is dead on - In the first release I was so anxious to get it up and share that I neglected the fact that several of the upgrades now modify parameters to result in a negative, which the game has a spak at. I had hoped to get V2 released yesterday which will fix all the upgrades and their descriptions + balance things but my girlfriend spent the day screaming at me for "invalidating her feelings" or some such (like ohhh "try get over it" is soooo offensive) - anyway, I got nothing done but will hope to finish it tonight. P.S. Its my understanding that very rarely does an NPC use an 'upgraded' gun so I don't think having the rpm on the abakan available as an upgrade will cause any unplayability issues.

I have some feedback for you. I'm currently using the AK74 in game. I chose the more accurate/sniper upgrade path, and I've purchased most of the upgrades in that path except for the tier III upgrade and the grenade launcher and 5.56x45mm ammo upgrade.

My rifle currently recoils downwards, towards the characters feet, and it's accuracy is dramatically reduced with crouching or using the scope.

Just thought you might like to know.
