I was fumbling around with making a few unique weapons for Clear Sky so everything was going fine till I decided to make a 7.62 NATO version of the SiG 550, now every time i approach certain areas, like the receiving outpost of the garbage I crash and get this error report,

Expression : res!=-1 Function : get_rank File : E:\priquel\sources\engine\xrGame\ui\Restrictions.cpp Line : 34 Description : cannot find rank for Arguments : wpn_sig550_762

I wonder if any of you guys encountered something similar or not, but it's a bit annoying. ;.;

On a slightly different note, does anyone know if it's possible to get a rolling zoom (like the binocular uses) on rifle scopes ?

EDIT: I think I fixed it, at least it has not crashed again yet -knocks on wood- I guess all I needed to do was add the weapons to the mp_ranks.ltx file, at least that seemed to have fixed it.

The scrolling zoom still eludes me though.

You are correct. The ranks refer to multiplayer, and weapon files are used in both singleplayer and multiplayer. Occasionally missing, or mis-writing code can upset one or the other gamemodes.

i already did what you are trying to do. pretty simple actually. all you do is change the ammo class from 5.56x45 ap and ss190 to 7.62x54 etc. simply copy the ammo class line from the svd and paste it into the ammo class line on the sig550. i played the game all the way through with no problems.

I actually made a unique 7.62x51 NATO, not the soviet. but regardless, I've already solved the problem.
