I'm stuck. I'm trying to get underground at Agroprom, Killed all the Snorks but when I head down the tunnel, it says 'permission required to go underground'. No one at the duty base seems willing to give me any permission for anything, I've talked with almost everyone! I hope it wasn't one of the now dead guys outside the tunnel. If so, I've broke the game....

Any suggestions?

Yes, he gave me a mission to turn off some pumps down there to flood the place. I followed the mission marker to the cave thing, to find a bunch of mutants and couple of dead guys there. I went back to the Duty leader and there was no conversation options for any permission for anything. I must have spoken to everyone in the base by now trying to get into the underground. I hope I didn't need one of the dead guys.. If so my game is broken.

I have a feeling I really don't want to go there (self-preservation instinct!), but.. I have to to continue the main storyline.

I had similar problems following the main plot-line as the messenger at the garbage, he just wouldn't drop off that rock and come down from alert mode even after acknowledging he was safe, so i couldn't talk to him to get info on fang... Eventually i just knifed him in the back and got the info that way, although i imagine here with duty that wouldn't work... You need permission, not info, so you'd just end up dead as duty turned on you... :D

Also right at the start of the game the Clear Sky npc on the roof won't accept the PMm i recovered for him, i have it, the PDA says he wants it, but will he have it? No...

Sadly i think this is just a common thing with quest npc's, and unless someone knows a quick fix i think you may have to just wait for a patch and hope you don't have to start over again :(

I asked this on the GSC forum - you have to go through the level changer while the duty Sergeant (I forget his name, the one the General communicates with) is still alive. It would be nice to keep them alive by racing there and killing snorks, but I'm nowhere near good enough for that, and neither are they. I ended up having to just ignore the firefight and even literally jump over some snorks leaving the cave in a rush to hit the change before the guy dies.

Why not simply use the trusty grenades to kill the snorks first???? It worked for me. And yes you need to get out and into the level changer for the sergant to get off his ass. Also don't forget to check both bodies throughly.

Me + Grenades = accident waiting to happen.. It would be ok if all the snorks were in one tight group far away from anything else! The only time I ever really use them is to kill controllers. Besides, you get a nice price for them from some traders! (Yes, I am that bad at this game. I love it, but I suck at it..) I've still never found any of the fabled 'Ammo Crates' - every box I try is empty, including the one next to the guide in the swamp.... Now I'm stuck in Red Forest, and just dying all the time - There just might be a patch out by the time I progress any further!!

(Is it just me, or do all the guns only fire in a straight line one time in 20? At 100m my accuracy upgraded gun can land a bullet outside the targeting cursor while I am in a low crouch!)
