I was having problems earlier when trying to move around the dark valley, after some reading, it was determined that the crashes were due to me moving through the game in a unspecified order. After restarting the game and moving from place to place in exact order or what at least appeared to be in order I attempted to enter The Yantar area, however upon a completed load, the game crashes. I closed down all unused applications and made another attempt and what do u know. The game crashed once again. And as what appears to have become the usual, no Bug Trap or any other indicator of an error. I pulled two crash logs however both appeared to be identical. This is the most recent one.

That is the game loading LOG file, that is not a full crash log from BugTrap. That is just what text appears in the drop down console the last time you ran CS. Although from the fatal error down at the bottom there I do see it's popped up a NULL value when upon loading the level, thus pulls a red-flag and crashes. I can't explain why though. Perhaps someone else here can. Are you using a mod that includes this file "task_objects". That is what it's pointing to. Most likely an invalid or incomplete entry in there.

I am using no mods. The only changed that I have made to the game are the adding of the two patches. I have not changed the settings of the game or my computer.

Hi there and thank god i have found someone with the same error as me and i mean EXACLEY the sam error word for word! since you posted this so long ago have you managed to fix this prob, and if so, how did you fix it? thanks in advance =D
