Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz ummm??? i have one cpu? my memory problems the game sucks it up till all i got is 3fps some times then crashes with this report: Current Memory Load: 77% Total Physical Memory: 2047 MB Available Physical Memory: 462 MB Total Page File Memory: 3944 MB Available Page File Memory: 2196 MB seems i cant play the whole game only half because the memory usage keeps going up ,as i get threw half the game? at the duty base now
Yes, One CPU with Two Cores. Each core is a processor. This is not your issue though, it is the memory. This game needs more than 2GB to play as smoothly as it can (until they get it properly patched) unless you are willing to play in DX8 mode. They did not get the requirements right and did not pay attention to their game testers. Yes they did have them, but like most game companies they did not listen. See my thread on how to get it running smoothly, and reduce your settings (which eat up your RAM) until it works for you.
i tryed it on the lowest settings still a memory issue very low fps...i was on 800 x 600.... my memory issues seem to begin traveling from freedom base to the garbage to attack the bandits base in the train yard hanger...from then on the game lags horrible for me. the missions lock up as well in the garbage. would the locked up missions cause the game to go in a crazed memory state???
No. Everyone has the same problem with missions, so it would be happening to everyone. Are you using updated drives, patch 1.05, and are all the Advanced Graphical sliders off (or nearly off) when you first launch the game?
If you launch the game and the sliders are not where you left them, then this is your problem. You should check them and reset them again. Remember that you need to restart the game for any setting change to take effect, even though the game does not always warn you.
If you are changing any of the sliders after you launch the game (at lest with patch 1.05), you probably need to save the game to get these new settings to actually be saved as well. Then you need to restart the game for the settings to take effect. I know that it is a pain, but it is the only way short of editing the user.ltx file manually.
