I have just run into a big problem. I had damaged armor and not enough money to get it fixed but I had enough money to get it upgraded so I bought the upgraded which also fixed my armor but from that point on I had negative money in my stats. That wasn't too much of a problem at first because I was able to buy anything I wanted and to pay any guide I wanted and the debt just kept piling up. BUT I am no longer able to trade with anybody or any trader. Even if I just want to sell some stuff to get out of debt the game tells me I don't have enough money. This is very annoying and I would like to know how I can get out of debt or is this a bug?

Looks like a bug.
I am not sure how to manually edit the amount of money a character has, so you might have to revert to an earlier save and try to get the money back.
It's actually quite nice because you don't have to worry about money anymore just in that rare case when you have to buy something from a trader. Otherwise the game let's you pile up debt like crazy. You can buy all upgrades at all mechanics and you can get transportation from guides to anywhere. No more worries about money. lol Maybe it's a good money fix without hacking the game. hehe.
Thanks for the reply though.
I had the same bug it seems to happen to any item that you try to repair but don't have enough money to, and then do an upgrade
instead of doing the upgrade it repairs the item and you get negative money which is ok as long as you never need to buy anything from a trader =p
As of how to fix it, you can still get money for tasks and as rewards so i imagine you would have to build it up in till your money went above zero
and you should still be able to sell things as long as the items you are selling have grater value than the money that you owe :Pimp:
lmao thats one cool bug!! New idea: stalker credit cards! one from each faction.. lower APR if you are a member LOL! I just hope you can design your own card like irl :p
That is a very interesting bug and rather funny too. I would fire up a trainer and get your money back up since your autosaves are most likely overwritten and you wont be able to revert to an older save without losing alot of progress. then to get rid of the money so you're not cheating is to get a few AKs and upgrade them fully, drop them and walk away :)
Stalker credit card sounds funny, however there has been talks about a banker of the zone who youd be able to store money in, perhaps you could borrow money as well but how would the banker enforce that you pay him back? If you dont he ruins your credit history? Im guessing a timed mission that you have to pay the banker back in a certain time frame or the money leaves your pocket automatically but then you might get a negative amount again hehe
lol yes a bank! and if you dont pay your debts on time, then they send mercs after your head! As soon as you leave a base you will be attacked or approached first with a dialogue "ive come for the money" and you can reply with either "here you go", "I dont have it" or my favorite "do you accept bullets?!" BANG!
Heres' what you do to get out of debt.
1. Get a loan from some other sucker........I mean person 2. Tell the guy you are debted to that you will pay him 3. Use the money from the loan to buy a shitload of cup noodles 4. RUN LIKE HELL and as you jump the border always throw the bird at whoever you see.
