Strange. Usually iron sights are reserved for realism games like Call of Duty and Red Orchestra.

Believe me, if STALKER is like anything they have been talking about, it is a very realistic game.

Stalker is a very realistic game. Its based in a world that is pretty much the same as ours with some weird stuff going on and lots of weird creatures. Should be great fun :D

I like the fact there is time lapse, weather, physics and general realism. I hope there is a huge RPG focus as well as FPS though..

People read this artilce on http://stalker.myexp.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1094 You have to read it. Time will be on the whole game, so if you are still standing doing nothing, that doesn't mean the zone is moving and people and monstered are being killed or getting into the zone or doing something. So, it is like real life, where stop being a redneck and begin playing. The graphics may not be as good as HL2 but the physics and new ideas may be much better.

This game sounds like it's gonna be fun.

This is from the above linked article;

Of course, given the complexity of such AI, we had our share of problems and general weirdness. During early development and testing of combat intelligence, one stalker went mad and began to consider himself as an enemy, trying to dispose of this "enemy" as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, our good-for-nothing animators did not plan for the possibility of putting your own gun to your temple, so the poor stalker had to instead shoot the only part of the "enemy" body he could reach - his own feet. For a good 10 minutes the entire design team, while rolling around on the floor from laughter, watched as the stalker-wannabie desparately battled with his own limbs. In the end, having used up two full magazines, the NPC died, submitting the diagnostic "Enemy successfully terminated" before terminating.

Whoa, they need to program suicidal tendencies into some of the NPCs. Imagine having giant mutated squirrels running in front of your APC as you lumber down the street, and other things of that nature. :eek:

Perhaps have some humans become stressed out due to loneliness/fear shooting their feet for minutes on end...
