A) What does the green arrow mean that is on some weapons?

B) Is there only 1 trader in the game that I can sell weapons/armour to? I don't wanna have to keep travelling back to the start of the game to just sell armour & weapons to the same trader.

Thanks

Also, I keep completing tasks and having to "come back for the reward". Well to get the reward I have to travel all the way back to the start location which is extremely frustrating. Isn't there anywhere else I can go for the reward?

A) The green arrow means that the weapon is modified (has better damage/accuracy etc. than the original weapon)

B)There are 3 traders, the nearest one to Sid (In the Cordon area) is Barista, he's in Rostok (Check this map- S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl Map Zone)

Hi

Just completing infos..

a - Unique weapons : better but.. uniques.. :) You find them or get them from corpses. Beware some are quest items : better not sell them to traders..

b - .. traders who are 5 at least.. Sidorovitch (start), Barman (Bar area, eh..), Petrenko (Duty), Sakharov (scientist) and Skinflint. They buy all items you want, but sell different things.. Prices are not the same too.. (I'm not going to give you locations if you are playing for the first time of course..)

c - Nope.. you have to see the guy who gives the quest. I suggest you install the 10 Day Quest mod to have time to go get the reward if this is so frustating.. :)

Hi..

Errr..

Well.. You're right ;) : 3 'official' traders.. with desk and all.. .. and 2 more 'underground/black market' traders..

Everyone's happy now.. :D

Then again, you can only use Petrenko and Skinflint if you have nuetral or better realtions with their respective factions; Obviously you can't use Skinflint if you're a Dutyer, or Petrenko is you are Freedom....still haven't been able to join either....have done all the Freedom missions over and over again....

Hi..

No need to be duty-er or freedom-er.. Well.. Im' friend with both.. :D

But first, Petrenko : when you're in the bar, as a neutral stalker, you can meet him. Just climb of the roofs to pass the duty zone checkpoint (Halt! Outsider may not enter..). Be sure they don't see you. Then trade with Pentrenko. Do not take the task though. To return in the main bar zone, you have to climb this pile of square tubes (?) but that takes a little.. keyboard smashing.. Anyway, that works..

To be friend with both faction, just do not take tasks involving the other faction (e.g. no 'destroy the duty outpost' task from freedom leader). There's only one task you have to take when entering Military zone, 'kill the sniper' : Talk to Skull, kill the sniper, take the reward, refuse any more task, rush in freedom camp, talk to guard, second guard, Lukash and Max then put yourself anywhere but do not shoot at duty soldiers.. Let them be crushed by freedom. Take a drink in real life. Talk to Lukash when dutyers are no more.. Now you can be friend with both sides, do like 4 or 5 tasks for each and you'll be set as friend.

Well.. Hope that's clear.. :naughty:

Ha; that's the exact same method I use (for the Dutyer shock team). I usually end up friendly with both factions. But I want to see if I can join.
