I'm wondering which side is better, Duty or Freedom. And which side started the conflict in the first place? And what other thoughts do you have on them? Freedom seems like a bunch of hippies while Duty is paranoid about the zone and over does the quarantine of it. :Puzzled:

I think both have good point, but i am more down with the overall feel of Duty. Feels more straight up, more organised, more merciless. But in the end, its a damn game so it doesnt matter, what does is which side will give u more advantage. and i wouldnt know, i never finished the game yet

LOL, it's amazing how much this game, though made in Ukraine, is like America. Liberals against Conservatives, people dying in the Bush, and an environment full of Gore!

lmao omen, you've hit it on the nail. there's not a lot between em really, jager_57, freedom controls the area above the bar towards the border to pripyat and the duty controls most of the rest past cordon. so it depends where you want to spend most of your time while doing their missions.

Freedoms aim are to act as a barrier to the zone, they dont go in and no-one (nothing) gets out. They are morally right, they dont kill for fun, only when neccessary. Duty seem more like a bunch of cowboys, they want to control the zone. They are gavernment founded which kinda points towards some kind of corruption. However it is never made clear what their main aim is, why do they want to control the zone. Do they want to destroy it or use it for their own benefit. I stick with freedom however because I hate the duty captain at the garbage. "Nice shooting you did there stalker, but nothing special" what an ass

Why is there duty and military factions then? They seem to be the same thing.

Yeah, I don't like alot of people from Duty, and Freedom seems like a bunch of friendly guys, but I always get the feeling Freedom is going to get more than it's asking for if they win. I also heard something from a guy that freedom was harassing scientists. That puzzled me, but then again, Duty seems to be very helpful to those scientists. Duty is an ignorant and self righteous group determined that the zone is absolutely evil and do anything to quarantine it and destroy it. They seem to stick to that cause. A good cause gone way too far it seems, but was it so far that they assaulted freedom? Or did freedom go to war first? But when I think of Freedom holding the barrier, it does make some sense. Perhaps they are not as careless as I thought. I do like Freedom more. I think once my use of Duty is finished, I'll may join freedom.
