any1 know how stalker will run in comparison with hl2 and doom 3? I have a AMD Athlon 2000+1.67 GHz (soon to be upgraded) ATI 9800 PRO 512 mb SDRAM SB Live! 5.1 I can run hl2 fine on medium if that tells you anything, well actually i can run hl2 on high except for levels live highway 17, and the later levels. The game dosnt look so graphically better than so much else. But it does look good, but the STALKER suits do loook kinda crappy. Weapons look good.

No official system requirements for this game have been released yet I believe, so I'm not sure. But by looking at your computer specs, I'd say it should run pretty decent. If you want it and other games better, another stick of 512mb RAM (Would then be at 1 gig) is nice, and perhaps upgrade the processor to a 3000+. :)

The game should run fine with those specs.

Processor. Once you have your new processor in, wait till you can get another stick of RAM in there...it flies like a bird. :) Make sure that your motherboard can support the RAM you want and the processor you want.

EDIT: Gah, you beat me to it by just seconds.

I have the 3000+. A good site to buy computer parts from is Newegg.

Try this link: http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproductdesc.asp?description=19-103-486&DEPA=0

The 1MB Cache version of the 3000+ is more expensive.
