One thing that I have always found strange in stalker is the shadow that your own character creates in low detail. It may look like a blocky ghost but it is a shadow none the less. Now on high detail there is no shadow but the NPC's have shadows.

I would get some screens but I currently don't have it installed on my PC.

Anyone else find this strange or annoying?

I never had a shadow in SHoC, but I did when I switched from Full Dynamic Lighting to Static Lighting.

Very odd. -David

I seem to remember reading somewhere that some things with graphics are "backwards"... *shrugs* I dunno. All I know is I never paid attention to a shadow or anything when my settings for the game were higher. Only started paying attention after I had already lowered them and was fooling around checking out Marked One in various outfits, seeing if the shadow changed depending on what he was wearing. XP It does *seem* to, but the shadow is such a vague figure, I can't tell for sure...

Anyways, yeah. Never noticed anything before.

yeah, the shadow is blocky, but if the game wants to render less on low detail, then why have the shadow?
