I think this indicates that Clear Sky will be released as expected, IMO. The patch is 1.1 (though beta) & the X-Ray version in Clear Sky is 1.5. Back to topic : hope the patch is good, coz i think i gonna test it right now (as long as it's 100% certain that this 1.1beta is downloadable), although i'll need Russian version of it, not WorldWide, since i bought the official russian version of game. I'll tell u if this 1.1beta is good for me & if it works.

What is 1.1 meant to bring to the game? I take it that it's a bigger patch than the usual 1.000x patches?

it was meant to bring free play from start... but only until the NPP ... so still blowout, and still no return from the plant.... it was later cancelled or put on hold, who knows... besides that freeplay mods already existed since last summer (free play story mod, amk freeplay, abc freeplay)

I guess that will mess with mods that give freeplay..

I bet the patch[es] will stay postponed til the last weeks before release of Clear Sky (19 August). The only thing i'm certain is because the Clear Sky patches the original game (and X-Ray engine) to version 1.5, 1.1 should be released approx. month or something like that, before that. Tell me what u think bout this statement. :)

Wow, Im suprised someone dug this up. I posted this ages ago. But I agree with Xan. Im sure GSC are all tied up with CS. And from what I've seen, once a new game gets released; the previous game(s) suffers. IIRC, all 1.1 did was add freeplay. And some other worthless stuff. Why bother with that when you can get that and more with AMK, OL, or ABC. Among others.

I actually visit GF once in a while, as long as i'm not working. Probly i'm responsible to duggin' it up, in 1st place. Thanx, i'm flattered. jk As for the "once the new game gets released, the prev one suffers" : u mean performance-wise, or the original mood/atmosphere/spirit of the prev game ? Let the time tell, what is better - 1.1/1.5 or community mods, but still i beleive both patches & mods r ingredients that keep the game alive. Amen !!! Agree with u, basically. :)

I used to come on here alot. But then real life kicked me in the teath. :uhoh: I probably could have worded that better. I mean that GSC will be more into CS, and they will probably assume that the community is too. As an example: say they had a total of 15 people working endlessly to fix SoC () Once CS comes out they will probably transfer all but, lets say 5, people to CS. So CS has 10 and SoC has 5. Which do you think will get "fixed" faster? :naughty: Thats my take on what will happen. It'll probably be diffrent.
