Sounds good, but what exactly is Fast Travel and Inverse Kinematics? Can you provide a link where you found this please? (EDITED) Never mind, found it. That site sucks for linking, no wonder you didn't post one.
The fact that theyr talking about completely insignificant factors like "Use of grenades by NPCs" "Reworked HUD and PDA" "Skirting around dynamic obstacles by NPCs " and stuff from they left out of SoC (its in the mods now) like "Weapons and armor repair" "Varied behaviour of NPC stalkers in the A-Life world" seems like pretty bad news to me... I mean this stuff almost sounds like some patch description to me rather than a new game The screens also show a SoC stalker and a weapon rather than some new weapon or maybe a monster.:( Fast travel is probably like in ES:Oblivion, also useless BS
Well to me the most discouraging thing is no talk of better optimizing, especially with more anomaly effects going on. Hopefully the revamped engine will take care of some of that.
"available in 1Q of 2008" huh? add at least 4 years and delete as applicable from the list. ;) (cynical?! me? never!)
Get rid of most of the major features, cut it down to about the same factions of SoC, lose all the eye candy and you'll have Clear Skies.
SoC was a gyp, I don't think this is going to come out any clearer than its predecessor.
yeah, somehow i feel like stalker clear skies is going to be a failure. Not like a "not as good as HL2 failure" but rather a "60% gamerankings.com average" failure :(
A preview has been put up on Eurogamer, about six minutes ago.
