I have a slight beef with shotguns in the game.

Mostly its around the combat shotguns you get later. My problem with them is that if you push the reload button he reloads the gun all the way.

Now thats normally not a problem, cept when you want to change ammo types. The combat shotgun is the only weapon i've found that does this.

You push the change ammo types, it just clicks and wont let you.

Now the cool thing though about the shot gun is that you can load multiple types of shells into the shotgun. For instance i can have scatter rounds in, and fire off two shots then reload with slug.

But that is were i have the problem with him reloading all the way up. I would like to keep a few rounds in the shot gun, then throw in a round that i might need when i need it of the more rare ammo types.

So here is an idea if anyone is able to, or for the sequel. Have the combat type shotguns (more than two barrels) reload for only as long as you keep the button down.

If you press fire as you're reloading, you'll stop.

well that will help.

There was another things, were you switch ammo and the character just starts jamming it in. course it is a bit of work for one or two weapons.

yep your right. Though since shot guns have three types of ammo, its a bit of a pain to cycle through them since he jams at least one in when you push the Y button. And damn man. I shoot a bloodsucker point blank with my shot gun and it doesn't die. After six buckshot rounds to the head/upper torso region. The seventh finally killed it, and i was about dead as well.

maybe, but rifle bullets are far more expensive than buckshot etc.. and iT SHOULD be more potential to shoot mutants, the only thing that works good with me is to shoot with a dart bullet a bandit at 20 m range... pff

I don't know what your problem with shotties is...

I am playing with an double barrel shottie and I absolutly love it.

  • My buckshot deters most dogs and other annoyance beasties
  • My Slugs give me reliable damage at 50 meters
  • My Darts give me ranges of up to 75 meters (Taken down 2 bandits that way)

Even more awsome.... I'm doing this with an broken game, I have the "invisible gun" glitch... so im doing this either from the hip or without recticle. (note: I ain't a good shot... so this is remarkable for me)
