WOA WOA WOA, you can never diss hl2, the story line was like a perfect novel, it held me every bit of the way, stalkers storyline was like swiss cheese, holes everywhere.

Maybe one of the endings should have been "I want to be a good developer team", then GSC might have actually gotten a clue in play testing it.LOL ...and no, the above summation is much to lengthy, here it is in 3 words: THIS GAME SUCKS!!!

Please, next time try and understand I wasn't insulting D3/HL2's storyline, I was simply throwing their stories into a few words to show you how easily you can make a game look bad.

Stalker had a decent storyline, if you read, chose the right ending, and talked with a few stalkers you would understand the story.

Yes, HL2's story is better then this game because of course, HL2 came from HL1, which had a great story also. Doom's Storyline is awesome too, once you read and understand the whole story.

People just need to pay more attention and try to understand, try to make sense of things.

Having played through 3 times, I can honestly say I'm disappointed in this game. I did the endings in what I assumed to be preferred order, upping the difficulty and starting over after each (ending on Master, skipped the lowest one). I did them in the Money/C-Consciousness/Grassy field order. To be honest, out of all of them, the C-Consciousness felt like the "better" ending. I won't say best because.. they all felt weak. If he hadn't been all self-doubt at the end of the long ending, then I would have felt a LOT better about running that last section on Master difficulty. But in the end, it was weak. Run from A to B to C back to A up to D back to B then C then E back to D.. you get the point. While the story line was decent, it wasn't better than that. HL/HL2 and Doom kept the player moving in a single direction. If you revisited somewhere, it was from a different angle, or the scenery had changed. The whole persistent-world RPG element wasn't all that fun. I hated walking through zone after zone without being able to head directly to the first trader because I'd sold something back to him that I now wanted. Or because I'd stashed in a box here and wanted to retrieve it. A quick-move system via the map for "conquered" areas would have been NICE.

In all, good game, not worth full price. Hopefully the mod community can build it into what it should have been =D My 2 cents.

You hit it perfectly.

Honestly, what would be a really awesome thing, would be alternate endings. I want to be able to beat the game, but not have a BS ending, and be able to go back and kill things, for as long as I want to, with all the good end-game goodies.

Decebalus;3603588 Just because you "dig" the game, doesn't mean it doesn't suck. For a 3 year in production game, its awesome. But for 6 years, dammit, 6 years for this!!!! If, after 6 years in development, your happy with Stalker, good for you. But the truth is the game still blows. It gives 1/3rd of what was actually promised.

You are an idiot arnt you!!! I dont want to start flaming but if you had of bothered following it through its production this game changed all the time. It could have been done in 2-3 years easy but they didnt quite know where go with it. THere main objective was to make a natrual single player game like a multiplayer with srtificial life. Once they did that (2-3 years or so) they kept switching and changing (hence name change from oblivion lost) and getting it all work together well. I personally loved the storey to it because it didnt give too much away and kept it simple. Just cause you didnt like it doesnt mean its a bad storeyline!!! Do you not relise that or are you to narrow minded?

Personally its one of the better games i played in a long time and GSC haver put the gaunlet down to all other game Dev's to follow on from this. GSC now can go away and take what they've learnt from this project and improve on it, whereas other game dev's will have to start from scratch. I know this game isnt perfect but jesus, that doesnt mean its a bad game. Its far from it and nothing else out there is near to what GSC have done here!!!

Children man!!!

Back on the subject, How do you get the immortal ending, done them all except that 1

:smokin: Can you imagine how crappy the developers must feel after six years of their lifes spent on a game that has so many holes in it? I'd feel like a cold, 1 month old pile of shit... I trully feel sorry for them... :( Don't piss this game off, just for their sake.
