I didn't make it!
So I edited the "all.spawn" file and got the player to spawn outside the trader's office. As a result, the door was locked from outside so I couldn't talk to the trader and take the first mission. I decided to talk to some guys at the rookie camp and look what happened :rofl:
The dialogs have changed giving some useful info about "death trucks" and... funny as hell (to me anyway) "the choice is yours" advice :lol:

It's interesting that they had that scripted in there. That means that, at some point, they had intended to start the game with him outside the traders bunker?
the same thing can be achieved by editing the trader_door script to open the door from the start. Also Ive noticed that strange things happen with the spawns if you don't talk to the trader at all like army special forces sometimes spawning in all the areas.
i think it's cool, haven't seen that before, gives a whole new perspective at the start to get weapons etc. :)
