I need to know how to know if there is a way to give bloodsuckers the skins of the zombies, and then, if so, how to increase the spawn ratio of the bloodsuckers. if everything works well, then adding an A-life mod would create major havoc.
and for more realism, you could make it so that you bleed more easily/strikes from the zombie skinned bloodsuckers would make you bleed more easily.
while it may be the case that i'll have to wait for an SDK, this is a project that seems more than possible.

Hey Hippy, it's me Frag, >Omen< is my alias here. I couldn't use Frag Maniac because I'd already made a file page with Filefront with that name and they said it was already used, Arrggh! Reskinning Bloodsuckers, now that hadn't occured to me. It may work the best especially if you could get their bloodsucking animation to work while they're attacking you upright to simulate a biting lunge. It would probably have to be sped up a bit(e) though. Their slow speed is by no means a Zombie lumber, but maybe that could be tweaked somehow too. I was thinking of having the transition to Rage state timed rather than when they first see you like the Bloodsuckers run. That way it would be hard to tell when one was going to turn. Better yet maybe it could even be made randomized. I'm sure the scream sound and bloody eyes/blood around the mouth after biting would be doable. Let me know if you have any luck with this. If you figure out any ways, let me know and I'll do some script experimenting and beta testing. Hold on, I just realized the zombies in 28 Days are not zombified or lumbering before the Rage hits. So you could just use the walk speed of the Bloodsuckers and time the turn to Rage rather than have it hit when they see you. They would just be walking around and not attack you until the Rage hits. Let me know if that sounds good or if you have better ideas. This Bloodsucker idea is looking to be ingenious. (Edited) One other idea, perhaps having them just walk around oblivious to you until Rage hits would be dumb. Maybe using the Bloodsuckers walk speed slowed down a bit, have them see you as you approach in sight, and slowly walk to you using the Stalker dialouge "Help me, help me", such as the first guy you see in the game asking for the med kit is doing. It would make more sense and create a nice contrast to the turn to Rage state.
hmmm... if you used that soundbite idea, you might have a situation where they'd be attacking you while saying "help me, brother! take the medkit from the stiff!" *whack*

No, the dialouge would not overlap the Rage state and/or attacks, it would end right when Rage state kicks in and there would be a pause where their eyes would turn red, then they'd scream when they attack you. There would be no audio or video effect when they turn as per Horror Time and blowouts because they wouild be timed individually from when they spawned or when they first saw you, though I don't know if the latter is possible. Yeah, Rspeed did make ABC, I have asked if he can help out with it.
this is going to be freaking awesome, but i need to wait for 1.0004 to come out before i can delve further. the bugs on my game are trashing my saves, and starting a new game makes it worse, i'm going to try and reinstall. and then i'll get back to you.
