Hi guys, i modded the OL mod. so i could buy a L85 and ammo from Sid, but when i started the game and made a new game-save i got this error

Expression : fatal error Function : CInifile::r_section File : E:\stalker\sources\trunk\xrCore\Xr_ini.cpp Line : 342 Description : Arguments : Can't open section 'ammo_12x70_buck'

So i went into every file and removed the 12x70 buck and all its ingredients etc from the files and now when i load the game i get the splash and then nothing...

Please help me, wtf can i do to fix this little problem? i've modded the trader files before and havent had problems...so meh

You could post your trader file for Sid in spoiler tags so we can take a look at it. But most likely you forgot to edit BOTH files. supply and buy.

Yeah sound like what SUPER said... Now you've totally screwed things up by removing 'ammo_12x70_buck'

Not totally, if needed you can just re-add it or i can send them OL2.2 sid files to you if needed to revert to original but im just guessing you havent edited both files and thats whats causing the problem, that or some sort of syntax problem. Even a slight typo can screw you up.

Well, he said he removed the ammo from every file. If that's true, he screwed up his installation and it would be easier to start over again.

At first it gave me the error but about some kind of missing model file, .ogr? or something like that, so i knew i was screwed then i just thought to remove it from everyfile, that way the game wont even think about loading it.

Delete the gamedata, install it again, try again. ;)

He's going to lose any other modifications then which sucks. And he said that he was getting the "Can't open section" error before he removed it from the files so im guessing he just didnt add it to the other one.

But yea if you removed it from every single file then youre kinda screwed. Backup the weapons and things youve already edited to your liking and then reinstall.

Yeah i reinstalled and edited sid again and the missing file came up again so i opened the backup copy of his file and put the 12 x 70 buckshot ammo back to normal, and then it came up with 16 x 70 buckshot ammo error, so i put that back and now it works :D

I really like OL's gamestyle, but i can't stand having to use PoS weapons untill iget to the Duty base, so i gave sid the Seva suit + the L85 and 500 rounds of AP ammo :D

thanks for the help guys!

PS: i only have one sid trader file to edit, but this buckshot ammo is screwy.
