Alright, i've managed to find out to make models and i'm pretty sure i can save 'em so their compatible with stalker, i just dunno how to get them into the game. I know full well how to create new weapons, but i tried making the p90 based off the model that was in the meshes folder. Everytime i tried to make a weapon using it's model though it crashed. It was definately my link to the model that didn't work. i'm guessing it links to a file that links to the model? either way, could someone please tell me how, or direct to the p90 mod that i've heard about but can't find. I think we are doing the same maybe but this is what ive found DDS Photoshop Plugin + NVDXT Tools, Elite Force 2 Downloads, Elite Force 2 Graphics Tools I did the skin in adobe photoshop and used that editor to get it to work with faiakes props to that team. Thanks, but i mean models. i can't texture for crap lol, but i might take a looksie at that... But yeah, i mean how to get models in game. i can create the model, just whenever i create a new wep [wpn_namehere]:model_here
it wont recognise the new model. i tried with the p90 model so i know it's compatible it's just that it crashes my game whenever i try that, and i don't know what other files i have to play around with to get it to work. and that's what i'd like help for...
jesu, man. first congrats on the attempt, the russian modders have added 3d models ingame but so far we are lagging behind on this. RSPEED may know more, i'm sure he's been trying but your best hope is on oblivion lost, a german/english modding site a lotta those guys know their tech. Second as someone with no real tech background have you tried just replacing an existing item(model, skin and references) with all your P90 data. Just for a tests sake, it may be the simple stuff syntax, localization files and trader files that are wrong. anyhoo go to OblivionLost.de and keep a note of your bugtrap errors. P.S. check out AMKMOD, they got a sleeping bag 3dmesh ingame as well as a new weapon problem is it is all in russian. HEHE
heh, i much prefer my sites in english... Now then, last night before bed i tried replacing the wpn_groza model with the p90. It went...alright...ish. Basically all i did was rename and relocate the p90 model to replace the Groza. Because there was no p90 hud model it would not display in first person so at first i though it had not worked, but switching to 3rd person i could see the p90 model. but it seemed to have some errors like the bottom half of the model was clear, but parts of the model did not seem to render at the top... If i went through the various groza files and corrected them to be more accurate to the p90 it might work better but that's all i could get for now... still, it's progress!
