Hmm, good point, I will try that. I'm reformatting my PC sometime this week anyway; I'm sure that will do it. >:]
really?, strange, I got my graphic settings back to default that way... hm
Ah well, no big deal-- installed the newest weather overhaul mod, minus the shaders (got the newest shaders from that one guy's actual site, thefloatingpoint.org: News). Seems like a patch is already coming out for it soon. :P But it's a great addition and really lets me lower some of the details in Stalker to get a better FPS while having the same good looks.
Meh. Personally, I don't like the FLOAT32 shaders... they took away my shiny ground.
I like mah shiny ground. And shiny exosuit.
Errr... are you absolutely sure that deleting the user.ltx won't reset all values if you start up STALKER? I'm sure that's what it did for me, as well.
Yeah, it changed back most of the preference ones, but all the specific changes to sun bias, etc. that I made remained. The hands were all shiny! With the new Float32, my hands are still a little shiny, but REALISTICALLY reflective. Before, they were literally reflective as wet ice! Now, they just seem a little backlit in extreme dark, which is OK by me for the performance increases I receive. FPS and overally increase in details is more good by me.
@Aewyn Hey ive uploaded my User.ltx your going to have to change all of it though, im running on Static Lighting, with all the bars maxed (i.e. Textures, View, Object Detail) except for AA and AF, on Medium Preset, F1,F2,F3 all change views. My lappy hates R2 Lights too :'( Send big files the easy way with sendspace. Files too large for email attachments? No problem! there you go!
But, did you change any of the bias values, or any of the graphics values? I'm trying to get the vanilla Stalker user.ltx.
nup its vanilla except for the view changes which can be easily deleted
Then, thank ya, I'll compare it to my own and make the necessary changes, thanks. ;P
