Okay, first of all I love OL2 and the game looks/plays great. However, I am so sick of blowout occurring right when I am in the middle of a gunfight with a dozen soldiers. Is there a way to get rid of blowout entirely, thank you.

you could have simply asked it in the ol thread, is a lot simpeler, ask kany there or atricious, maybe it's inside the ol script haven't checked it yet

True there is an OL thread, but I am looking into other threads as well. :)

gamedata\config\system.ltx

Edit enabled under [blowout_period] so it looks like this: enabled = 0.0 That *should* do it. Please note that blowouts spawn new artifacts and Kany is going to extend this feature in the upcomming patch, so you will miss it with deactivating the blowouts.

Okay, thanks for the info. I was just kind of irratated because I'd saved at a big gun fight and blowout was messing with me. I'll stick with the game the way it is. I really like OL2. I never like FPS style games, I picked this up because it was $17. All the mods available for the game have mad it a lot of fun.

I'm trying to find out if you can lower the frequency of blowouts. If I could make them more rare occasions that would be great. Right now it is a bit much for my taste.

Also in gamedata\config\system.ltx under [blowout_period] there are time and shift. I don't know how they work exactly, but raising the time value should help. I think time is in hours and shift in minutes (shifting the event a bit).

Interesting, thanks. I thought the time was how long (maybe in seconds) the blowout lasted or something. I will try changing that.

I just realized that time can't be in hours, because that would mean the time between blowouts would be 75 days. But I think both are minute values. So the time between blowouts is something like 1.5 days. Anyway, both are used in the function start_blow_timer(), so I guess they are the right numbers to change.
